Was a kiwi kinda version of a hawker centre. We bought fried seafood kway teow and roti from the Taste of Malaysia. Enjoyed it! Also had sweet n sour chicken and pork and chive dumplings from Yummy Wok... also delicious. Would go back again if in the area.
Vietnamese food is delicious. The only thing they need to improve is customers service. Not friendly at all. Check the price with the owner before you buy as price is not fixed. Chao long last year was $20. This year is $25, same size. 25% price increasing.
Not all food stalls here have great food. The first stall as you walk in on the right is terrible. Chips are not fresh. Burgers are horrible. $14.00 for a burger and chips, but the quality and taste are not good. I wouldn't care if it was $20.00 as long as it has fresh chips, freshly cooked, and tasty burgers. I advise others not to eat at this food stall. Others in the Food Junction are much better. My rating is overall on average.
Different cuisines which is good. Try the Cheesy Gralic Nan from the butter chicken place you won't regret it- i don't like Butter chicken. They make the best nan, better than Outahuhu food Court.Food: 3/5
Butter chicken was average, chicken korma was bland and the lamb stir fry was too burnt, too sour and not enough veges. Place was however nice and clean but I wouldn’t recommend the food.
When passing through Auckland with a hungry tummy I almost always stop here. It's basically a large hall with different types of Asian food shops inside. The food is yummy and worth every penny. Well worth checking it out if you're ever in the area or even passing by as it's not far off the motorway. Yummy yummy
Bought this from Chinese BBQ, I did not attempt to eat this dish, pork was not crispy and looked half cook, bok choy was non existent, received cabbage though, check the photo. and other veges, you need a microscope to find it. I asked was the dish served correctly? As it did not look like the one on their menu board, and he says yes. I could tell he was getting angry, and said dont get angry, that I am only asking a question. I asked for container and was charged,$1. I emptied the whole dish into container to take home for cats, see other photo. Dont buy this, false advertising.
I had one of the sizzler dishes with boneless BBQ chicken and prawns served with rice, sweet potatoes, coleslaw and bean sprouts, aswell as some Thai summer rolls with pork and prawn filling. This is a awesome place with so much variety! The price is well worth the portion size served - quick and satisfactory service. I'll definitely be going back.
The prices are pretty crazy for the food they serve. 2 pieces of roti canai prata for NZ$15 is amazing. And plain prata too, not with egg/onion/cheese. For that price I could have 9 to 13 pieces of plain prata back in SG. Of course I understand this is not SG, but still..
Good place to go when you don't know what you want. Venue has different variety of food. Only con it can get very busy and tables get swooped up fast.Food: 4/5
