It's a great place to view from , but you can see beautiful sites through out new Zealand, and here are a few, taken on a bus between port Otago and Dunedin
We stopped here on our cruise and hoped on our train tour. Everything went great.
When my husband and I disembarked from our cruise in Port Chalmers, we spotted Flagstaff Lookout from the port and decided to make the climb before our bus tour began. The streets leading up are a bit steep, but trust me—the views at the top make it all worthwhile!nnFrom the lookout, we were treated to stunning panoramic views of the port, watching ships come and go, but the real highlight was seeing our own cruise ship from an entirely new perspective. It’s a fantastic vantage point to take in the beauty of the harbour.nnAt the peak, you’ll also find the historic staff that gives the lookout its name—a neat little nod to the past. If you’ve got a bit of time and don’t mind a bit of a hill climb, this is a great spot to stretch your legs and soak in the scenery. Highly recommend!
Amazing the sounds south island no waterfalls today
Flagstaff lookout at Port Chalmers is not one to be missed. It gives a fantastic view over the harbour and Bay.nWe walked up the steep hills to get to it, definitely not recommended for unfit or mobility impaired people.nThe view is totally worth it, easy access by car and plenty of parking available when we were there.nHighly recommended.
