@FederationMaori
The Federation of Māori Authorities (FOMA) was formed in 1987 and represents over 150 Māori authorities with an estimated natural resource asset value of approximately $8billion dollars. FOMA is the peak industry body of the Māori economic sector and our members have enterprises in seafood, forestry, dairy, horticulture, property, agriculture, energy and investments both in New Zealand and abroad.
A Business Economic Research Ltd (BERL) 2010 Report estimated the Māori economy had assets estimated at $37 billion and the potential growth of those assets was valued at as much as $12 million.
FOMA’s vision is simple: Sustainable economic prosperity, for our members, our communities and our country. Our service offering is succinctly categorised into three key areas- Inform-Connect- Deliver.
