Excelsior Home Bakery

I will easily put this place as one of the best bakeries in the greater wellington region when it comes to pies/pastries. Absolutely top-tier kiwi pies.nnIf you're even vaguely near Wainui, you need to get some food from here. I am now craving a pie from there while writing this review.

Best little bakery in Wainui. My favourite is the little savouries, the mince and potato top. Just beautifully made. The chicken sandwich and flap jacks are also a favourite. This place is a clear example of a bakery making their food right and sticking to it… no unpleasant surprises.

This is a New Zealand best kept secret, the steak pies are incredible, full of meat and the pastry is great. Sure you'll find other pies the same from a gourmet bakery, but at twice the price. That's why this place is great, good food for a fair price. Apple turnovers and donuts are excellent too

Took the kids to Wainuiomata Summer pool for the first time today. I was looking at reviews on the pool when Excelsior Home Bakery was recommended in one of the reviews as a place to get food close by. We bought pies and a chicken roll. I have to agree with the reviewer that the pies were yummy mince, steak and steak & cheese and all had a decent amount of filling. The steak pies had huge chunks of meat in them. We missed out on the fresh cream doughnuts but would love to try them next time we are in Wainuiomata.nThank you for our delicious quick lunch!

My family gets the pies quite often and enjoys them. Yesterday I had two and these are excellent. Great filling, great portions and flavor.nThanks guys.
