Revisited this restaurant after 3 years absence. Still going strong. Yam char from 11am. Hot steaming Dim sum is cooked especially fried items whenever customers are dining. Order your favourite if the item is not on the moving trolley or carried around. Freshly fried squid in light flour smells so good. Siew Mai had fish paste & prawns hidden on its base. All time favourite crunchy french beans in salted beans & tinge of dried sweet/sour fruit powder taste delicious. Pick & finish your order before ordering next dish to eat a hot meal.
Food:4/5 Pretty decent yum char place. My fav were chicken feet, beef tendon, beef tripes and pork ribs in black beans sauce. Service:4.5 Service was really fast and the staff were friendly.
My favorite yum cha in Auckland! We always get the siomai, chicken feet, pork ribs, beef tendon, fried squid, roast pork and durian mochi for dessert. Yummmm.
Dim-sum wise and price wise I will always choose enjoy inn over the others. They’ve got a variety of dim-sum options and their services are fine. Love their chicken feet, pan fried chives dumplings and ox tribe especially. My bf loves their shrimp dumplings and fried squid. Food is always fresh and well cooked. A good place to yum-cha and catch up with friends indeed on Sunday morning. Their car parks are limited, it’d be best if you park around the residential areas but please don’t block others’ gates.
Twice is a pattern... We visited this place two weeks in a row and experienced the same bad service on both occasions. The second time was the straw that broke the camel's back as one of the staff behaved in a rude manner not just to the adults but to our children as well. While the yum char is passable and the price is reasonable, the bad service and condescension is enough to drive this customer of three years away for good.
We had yum cha here and the food was great! Not too greasy or salty. Service was good, staff was attentive and the yumcha trolleys were kept with fresh rounds of food. Clean place, good atmosphere, had a great time with friends, would come again. We had a party of 4 and ate a lot, cost came around to $30 pp for our table.
With great service, pleasant atmosphere and tasty dishes, this lunchtime Yum Char is one of the best in Auckland. When you ask for a specific dish, it's delivered very quickly and piping hit. My suggestion is to try the prawn toast, calamari, and end up with the ice cream balls. I can't get enough. Just give yourself enough time to find a park.
This place is an old school fav of ours and we thought we'd try it again while in the area recently.. and it didn't disappoint, the food was delicious. We had a slight issue with one of our dishes which we sent back and they couldn't replace so offered something else instead.. which was fine, until we went to pay.. We either paid for all the dishes or it has got super expensive!! Good but not $70 good! Sorry :-/
This is our local and we all eat yum cha a lot. Friendly staff but above all great food! Prawn dumplings with coriander is a family favourite and custard tarts to finish.
Food was OK but not very high standard. We ordered BBQ pork last night, very disappointing, sweet and sour pork was quite good, seafood fried noodles was good, prawns was good, soup was too small, deep fried ice cream was on the menue but they could not make it...... Other dishes were average, some too slow, it's a Wednesday night, moon festival night, so the restaurant was quite full.
