Had a good overall experience. Love the Colombian decorations and music, the atmosphere was really nice. The food was good and a bit on the pricey side. I also enjoyed sitting on the bar watching the chefs cooking. Would like to go back and try more of the menu.Food: 4/5
Went here for a small work dinner, and all of us enjoyed our meals. I had the T Bone, and it was lovely and tender. Most mains are BBQ meat, but that is what we were after. My starter was that pork belly, which was a little dry, but the skewers that one of the others had were very nice.
Can’t fault the food and we had the El Humero experience for 4, but there were only two of us. I would say that if there were 4 of you who were ravenous, bearing in mind some of the items came with only 3 portions - some of you may have to top up with dessert. However as we are self declared meat pigs, then this was spot on for two and the beef knuckle was superb. No dessert required. Cosy warm environment where you can see the meat being cooked - nothing to complain about. Ideal for couples and larger groups, although there is always an option to sit at the bar area and eat too, with the warmth of the grill directly in front of you. Vegetarian options: It’s a meat lovers paradise - that is all Parking: The parking lot in Huron Street offers free Saturday night parking but closer options are available, it all just depends on whether a movie is on and how popular it is!
Super awesome dining experience, esp if you're sitting in front of the bar. The chefs obviously have top-notch grilling skills as our steaks Tbone and sirloin came out perfectly medium well. The ambiance of the place is also great, truly feels like in Colombia! Also they fill up pretty quickly so will be good to reserve beforehand.
Lovely and unique food. Space is a little cramped and can get quite busy so service can get quite slow. Due to its popularity, you will always need to book a table. We'll definitely visit here again to try different items on their menu.Food: 4/5
The beef short ribs were amazing, very tender and falling off the bone Tomahawk steak was cooked to perfection Empanada and chicharon were great entrees
We went for tajadas, and they didn't have them. Also, colombian sodas were not available. So we order empanadas and we got burnt empanadas. We probably had high expectations about the place but who knows right?! Until we got there.
It is not very often that you come across a place that cooks a perfect steak the way these guys do. I will go back time and time again! Always order something different every time and always love it!Food: 5/5
It was my third time here and I loved it just like the previous ones. The food was amazing, but it did have a longer wait than last time. I had the chicken and it was just perfect. It was juicy and well seasoned. The staff was friendly and polite. I would recommend calling to make a booking because he space is a bit small and it's always full
This place has been on my list for a while, my Brazil friend took me to there, it’s his favorite restaurant in Auckland. it is very popular, if you don’t reserve, might sit at the bar if there is a space, I didn’t mind sit at the bar and see the chef cooking, amazing. Our food is beautiful, big portion, the ribs are tender, service is quick and staff are friendly. I like the ambiance. Definitely would go back and recommend to give it try.
