Story

Bond Estate is in the Onetangi winegrowing region and comprises the 4.2 hectare Miro Vineyard and the outstanding Tapas restaurant called Casita Miro. Miro is the closest vineyard to Onetangi Beach, a summer playground for holiday makers. Views from the vineyard are spectacular, looking out over the vines, the village and the sea. Grapes in the region ripen to a rare succulent intensity in the hot summer sun. The mineral rich soil provides the vines with flavour-enhancing elements. Red wines grow best here, but pinot gris and chardonnay also produce excellent wines . Drink them with some of the fantastic tapas-style food served at the Vineyard Tapas restaurant (Casita Miro). Sadly this restaurant is no longer Waiheke’s best kept secret and you will need to book a reservation (0275 123 007 or 09 372 7854)

Best meal we have had in a long time! Celebrated our wedding anniversary here yesterday, enjoying the fiesta long lunch. Every dish was perfection with our highlights being the croquettes, prawns & lamb main. Setting is just beautiful with a nice cool breeze coming in on a hot day, of course with views of the vines. Our waitress Erin was so lovely and knowledgeable, amazing service and suggested great wine pairings for my husband. We cannot wait to come back!! Thank you.
An absolute exquisite experience! We loved the caring and knowledgeable staff, divine food and fresh produce, some of which is grown on the grounds, and the wine and sangria was stunning. There was even live music for us to enjoy while lounging on bean bags on the sloped lawn after our long lunch. I would recommend this winery and restaurant to all my friends and family and will definitely visit on our next trip up from Wellington. Thank you team
Really enjoyed the wine selection here and their home made olive oil is delicious. Also love the fact it’s on a green hill a bit further out so you get peace and quiet in the garden with no kids running around or heaps of tourist buses. Gorgeous views along the way too. The only thing they could improve is to serve water with the wine.
Woweee, for a wonderful lunch and incredible vineyard views, this is a must in Waiheke. The restaurant is stunning with a Barcelona feel to it. The lamb was the best lamb we’ve ever eaten, a big statement but we honestly felt it was melt in the mouth. I would highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Cannot recommend this place enough. Service is great, wines are great, the whole atmosphere of the place is simply beautiful. We had a wine tasting and then a wine by the glass! And they also have a little shop with seasonings, olive oil, tableware etcFood: 5/5
Amazing food, good wine, lovely Location! We could have spend all day chilling here. If you want to go to the Restaurant make sure you have a reservation. Else you get it outside which is also good.Food: 5/5
Lovely little winery with good food and friendly staff. Got a little loud inside as it got busy but enjoyable all the same. Close by other wineries that don't serve food and a beach with bus stops so a great place to include if you're exploring the area.Food: 5/5

This was my favorite winery on the island. The atmosphere is perfect, the wine is very good, and I like that they have worthwhile food here too. The octopus and croquettes were great and unexpected at a winery. I really like that they make sherry here as well!!Food: 5/5
