Tried 5 different slices. None of them were noteworthy, lemon slice was okay. Coconut rough was dry and bitter. Truffle was weirdly full of date paste. Ginger slice was too intensely ginger. Lolly cake or rocky road was okay. Coffee is fine. Staff are nice. But overall a disappointment. Three kids, two adults and wouldn’t even bother to finish the coconut rough slice.
Excellent coffee, super friendly service. Avoid the steak and cheese pie, no cheese and filled to the brim with onion. Mince on waffles very dry, no sour cream or coriander as listed on the menu. Chicken quesadilla was very nice. Would only return for coffee

The Don rocks! What an amazing place. We are visiting Masterton and had breakfast and coffee twice it was that good. The savoury waffles are absolutely delicious and highly recommend. Excellent coffee and the staff are fabulous. Great service and great value for $$ Highly recommend a visit.
Went on museum staff recommendations. They weren't ready for evening service, but let us in 1 hour early and let us choose from one side of the menu. Food tapas was exquisite. Best pork belly I've ever had.
