The Denniston Dog is a Restaurant, Cafe and Bar situated in the bustling small town of Westport. We offer fantastic food, friendly service and a warm inviting atmosphere. We have a large and varied menu with quick cabinet food ready to go to eat in or takeaway for a quick tasty meal. We have breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menus. We are one of the few places on the coast which offers the Stonegrill Menu and experience. The Denniston Dog Is ideal for business meetings, family meals and after work drinks. Large screen tv for watching sport, high chairs and toys for the kids, pool table, regular live music, events and drink specials! We look forward to seeing you at the Denniston Dog in Westport!

Great food and atmosphere. I had the stone grill for dinner which was delicious - the fries were like little roast potatoes. The wine I ordered wasn’t right but I wasn’t too fussed as the staff were welcoming and friendly, making sure we were served and comfortable. Nice music too!
So far on our Sth Island Great Beer & Chip Trip they have pipped the previous best score. Nice little place for a meal.
Great food with the bonus of friendly West Coast service. I had the Dog burger and loved it. Good price too.
The carbonara was really good, good portion size for the price, good value. Not too saucy, just right!
Was amazing meal. My husband had fish chowder which he loves and I had a yummy chicken salad. Lovely staff

Rating on what the place is we were more than happy with the food, staff and rustic style seating. Clean. Not overly expensive. Would go again, which unfortunately is unlikely as first and likely only time in this area.
Good chowder. Beer was expensive. Other items we had were ok. We didn't get a follow up table visit by anyone asking if our meals were ok, or if we would like another drink.
I had the Buddha Bowl, which was very blend. Dots of avocado sauce instead off real avocado. It consisted basically of rice, broccoli and a few slices of red pepper and zucchini
Food & service good however a little pricey
