Debbie is a qualified Yoga instructor with 18 years Middle Eastern Dance experience. She offers Yoga, Belly Dance and Bellyfit classes in the Nelson area.
I discovered Belly Dance in 2001 under the instruction of Gretchen Howard and have been hooked ever since.This is a beautiful and elegant dance thats great for the body and mind.I am also a very proud member of the ZENDA Belly Dance troupe. I Have 6 years experience teaching for ZENDA, Late 2014 i started my first yoga teacher training course which i completed at the end of 2015. The principles i have been taught to teach is under the krishnamarcharya linage. To teach to the individual, making yoga accessible to all beings. My Yoga classes are suitable for all levels and poses can be modified to suit the person. The style of Yoga is a gentle flow inspired by Hatha and Viniyoga principles, connecting the movement to the breath.
The benefits of Yoga include increasing energy levels, boosting the immune system, enhancing mindfulness, strengthens and tones the body, increases flexibility and range of motion, reduces stress and enhances calmness and relaxation. The list goes on. I am passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga to others aswell as sharing the knowledge of Belly Dance.

Qualifications and experience
16 years Middle Eastern Dance experience and study.
2011- Certificate in Anatomy and physiology. Naturopathic college of NZ
2014-2015- 200hr YTT 12 month course-Santosha yoga
2016- Completed Bellyfit Practioner Certificate
2017- Currently completing Bellyfit Flow practioner certificate
