Daikoku

Had a great night at the traditional japanese side of the restaurant but found it kind of weird that the restaurant was out of sashimi except salmon and chicken it was Friday night and early! The portion sizes were incredible and tasty - but the downside was that my medium rare beef slices were too big for one bite and when I asked for a steak knife to cut it up I was given a butter knife eventually I was able to give my plate back to the kitchen where they cut it into reasonable portion sizes. We had a nice anniversary dinner here. Hadn't been in a while bit it was still as good as ever. The food was deceptively filling. We ordered too much and ate too much. Also left a nice Christmas present for the three ladies sitting at our table.

Been here many times over the years, whether it is teppanyaki or just a la carte. Their price is always decent and food is good. Today we had the pork katsu and chicken karaage curry. The chicken was good and tender pieces. The pork was a bit dry and tough. Overall, it was still good. Food came pretty quick, salad was fresh and the miso soup was hot.

Always loved going there when i was younger, havent been for years though. Decided to have a fun dinner for my special friend's birthday, he loved it ! The cook and waiters were lovely, the show was so cool and the food was very very yummy ! Definitely a very nice experience that i recommend Parking: You have the whole botany parking to park your car, and then you just have to cross the road to get to the restaurant's stairs so not far at all ! :

Been here on numerous occasions for Teppanyaki only and thought we would try their other Japanese cuisine. Plenty of variety on offer and the service was really excellent. The food came out really fast too! I really wanted to try the Katsu-don with egg, as many other Japanese restaurants here do it without the egg. However, the food lacked the wow factor for the price you pay. Overall still very good. Same goes for Teppanyaki, 5 stars for the experience!

Fantastic service from everyone and our chef was lovely. We went for my friends birthday and I asked if they could please put some candles in her dessert. Not only did they do that but a few staff came out singing happy birthday. A few of us ordered the April special for $65 and a few others selected from the menu. The food was great quality and well worth the trip, especially when you catch flying egg

The restaurant is very nice. The potions are good and it's quite decently priced. It's a great place to take children just don't let them get to close the barbeque. Also don't expect them to eat the salad

Wow, best ramen I have ever had in Auckland. A little far from where we stay to just eat their food, but I reckon it's well worth the trip!! Highly recommend their ramen and even their black pepper beef on rice. Absolutely divine at a great price.
