This charming little lodge is an excellent choice for families seeking full-service facilities and ample outdoor space. The reception was prompt and efficient, and the entire experience was seamless. The scenic walk down to the river adds to the charm of the place. There are barbecue areas available, and each room has a cozy porch, perfect for outdoor dining.
I am a cleaner to service the rooms. All the places were available for others to rent for days if needed. The rooms were perfectly furnished, clean, and done everything. Tidy places to enjoy. Creel Lodge is a great place to visit!! AAA
A great rustic lodge nestled in Waikato. The grounds of this place is stunning, with foot trails along the river perfect for a stroll, run, or fishing!nnFront desk was very helpful and responsive. Big flattop grills are available to cook meats/fish, please note that the lodge asks for fish, meats, and curries to be cooked outside.nnThe little cafe at the front of the Creel Lodge is not one to miss! They have a lovely selection of fresh pastries that we wished we took better advantage of.
Turangi is not a place you choose to visit unless you have a very good reason. We needed somewhere to rest our heads after a long drive.nnThe accommodation is fine but starting to look dated in comparison with the other places we stayed at in NZ.
I loved the beautiful gardens and at night there's nice lights throughout, BBQs and outdoor tables and access to the river is right behind. Rooms were adequate kitchen was well equiped.
