Story

Coronet Peak Tandems has been operating since 1999. Angus Tapper, owner and Managing Director is 4 times New Zealand paragliding champion and has been competing internationally for years. He also flies hang gliders and came 2nd in the NZ Hang Gliding Nationals 2011. Angus also has some 3000 hours as a commercial fixed wing aircraft pilot.

The best activity we did in our whole Queenstown trip. Just amazing! My partner got to fly the paraglider for a bit and he was STOAKED. We will definitely do this again next time we are in Queenstown. The instructors were so awesome and we had great conversations with Angus on the way there and back.
Had a absolutely amazing flight from the top of Coronet Peak. Nice smooth take of from the peak, amazing flight, cool banked turns and a smooth landing. It was my first time paragliding and absolutely loved the experience. Thanks Peter from Hungry. You were a great pilot. Can't wait to do it again next year I'm in Queenstown.

Really good experience. Instructors were very friendly and easy to get along with. The ride is a bit short though, but that could be the norm in NZ or Queenstown.

Hang-gliding was one of the best things I've done in my adventurous life! My tandem buddy had been a pilot for 40 years and he was amazing! The instruction was thorough and the landing was smooth. The flight was SPECTACULAR! I highly recommend this company and and activity!
What an amazing experience. Hands down the best adventure thrill I have had. The entire team at Coronet Peak Tandems were fantastic. They made the experience so much fun. They are all extremely experience so you feel safe and secure through out. The views are incredible. Do it and then do it again!
