Loved it spectacular views good walk for hole family.
I did an early morning walk with out 2 wee Schnauzers in June, the temperature outside was around 2 degrees. But the climb up, which takes 16 minutes if you walk fast, is warming you up enough. The view is well appreciated if you don't have a cloudy day. It is a dog friendly walk. If you are coming from the Acheron Heights Road, you have to walk the first 20 meters over a private driveway. The owner will request you to silence your dog if he has guest in his B&B.
Great little walk, took us 25min to get up, my Apple Watch est 3.25km return. Take that with a grain of salt.nnBut the walk was great, the outlook superb.nnNo regrets!
Always enjoyable!nnI have done the Conical Hill Walk up to the Lookout many times in the last 2 decades, and I find it enjoyable always!nnThe walk starts very steep from the base, where an excellent toilet facility is located. The climb is gradual and relatively steep. Most of the walk is in shade, and we can hear birds chirping.nnThe lookout provides an excellent vantage point to see good views all around. No matter what the weather is - winter or summer - the views on a good day are superb!nnThe walk up and down also helps in building up an appetite, and I am always ready for lunch at the Rustic Cafe in town after completing the walk. I get the feeling of having “earned my lunch” upon completing this walk.
Absolutely stunning, especially on a good day when you can see for miles. Such breathtaking views. It's a steady uphill walk all the way to the top, and the knees like to complain on the way down, but the sights at the top are worth the effort.nObviously not really wheelchair friendly but there are toilets close to the start of the walk.nIt recommends 60min return walk, I did this in 35mins at a good pace, not including the time taken to enjoy the views.
