Highly recommend doing both the mini golf and the maze - especially if you’ve got kids, they’ll love it. The maze is really well thought out and a bit different from others, which made it more enjoyable. Only minor thing would be that the mini golf course could use a leaf blow, as there were some pine needles on the greens.
The concept is a fun idea and we did it as a group of kids and adults. We were enjoying ourselves until we realised that none of the extra features were actually working. A few sounds worked but all of water features were off/not working and the extra like wall falling and speaking Indra at the end also not working. It was a shame but the kids were still enjoying clue hunting so we sorta just brushed it off initially.nnAnyway, we spent an additional 40+ minutes going round and round looking for a clue - along with another group who were also searching too - for that same clue. In the end, we had to send someone to go and check what we were missing only to find out that the clue wasn’t actually “lit up” so we were never going to find it. Apparently we should have been informed of this before starting but we weren’t and neither the group before us.nnSuch a cool idea but super run down unfortunately.nnI recommend it but they need to either update the price to reflect the poor condition and just say to hunt the clues which is still fun in the maze.nnOr restore it and make it worth the price again. It’s not expensive but it’s not what you pay for either.nnIt’s interesting to read other reviews of the same experience because the person at the counter implied it was “very strange” these things weren’t working for us. Seems like we aren’t the only ones to have this happen and nothing has been done or put in place.
I visited the Maze ‘n’ Golf at Hanmer Springs today with my kids, after having fond memories of coming here myself as a child. I was really looking forward to sharing that experience with them, but unfortunately, we left feeling quite disappointed.nThe maze itself is in desperate need of maintenance — a repaint and general repairs would make a huge difference. Many of the features throughout the maze weren’t working, which took away a lot of the fun, and we weren’t informed of this when purchasing tickets. Given this, the ticket price feels quite high for the current condition of the attraction.nOne of the most frustrating parts was spending a long time searching for the missing plaque, only to later find out it wasn’t available. At the end, there was also meant to be an audio feature with a lady speaking, but it never played. When we asked, we were simply told it doesn’t work.nOverall, it would have made a big difference if we had been told about these issues beforehand or offered a discounted price to reflect the lack of working features. Sadly, this experience didn’t live up to the memories I had, and it felt quite underwhelming for the cost.
Definitely recommend! Great for all ages! Mini golf is good fun - could maybe do with an upgrade or extension to the course to add new holes!nMaze is also fun! The wee black out rooms were quite fun!
A fun little stop! The maze takes about 10 minutes, and you can spend a bit longer enjoying the mini golf. Great for a quick and entertaining outing.
