We stopped in wanting a fairly simple breakfast and definitely didn’t want anything too big. Vogel St. Kitchen has some great options and the two eggs any style with ciabatta and a salsa verde suited us down to the ground. We ordered a side of mushrooms on one and sausage on the other.
Went to Vogel St Kitchen for lunch. They’ve got a limited cabinet menu as well as pizzas, wood fired sandwiches and an all day menu. The food was tasty and good portion sizes. Good value for the price, however menu is lacking cheaper options. Service was fantastic, prompt and very accommodating of young children.
One of the best cafes in Dunedin. Originally a warehouse now a funky cafe with lots of room, great service and most importantly a vibe. Cafes need a vibe! Huge amount would have been spent on the fit out. Always on my list when I visit Dunedin. Loved the bread Gilbert’s Amazing gf raw chocolate cake and berry muffin!
Very nice interior. We had eggs Benedict, one with salmon and one with mushrooms. Both were very delicious. Over of the finest salmon Benedicts I've ever had. The sauce is not too sour like usually at cheap places. The staff is very friendly too. We had a great time during brunch.
I chose breakfast elements to make my own choice of components. Wilted greens, Bacon, Poached eggs, Green salsa, Toast. It was all cooked in oil on the griddle/ so it was all quite oily. Nice elements but I would have like it to be more clean. Loved the bread Gilbert’s Amazing gf raw chocolate cake and berry muffin!
We arrived a little after 1pm on a Saturday and found that the majority of customers had already eaten and moved on. We have been here earlier on previous trips and found it a bustling place. As it was, the reduced numbers meant ease of seating and excellent rapid service. Food was tasty and filling
The staff was Friendly, and the food was delicious with enough portion. The building itself is nice and there are enough tables for everyone even when it seems crowded from the outside. Their bathrooms are also very clean.
Lovely food wonderful staff. Recommend it
Great food and coffee and very friendly staff who actually look like they enjoy their job.... Will visit again
