It’s always nice to visit the Christchurch Farmers’ Market at Riccarton Bush grounds. Today Saturday 17 Dec 2022 was no exception. It was a special Christmas market. Perfect weather and plenty of stalls with a variety of things on offer meant that there were plenty of people enjoying the market. The stream, the music and the vibe in general makes it such a lovely experience for everyone. Photos show a glimpse.
A good place to buy local specialities and produce. Have been here a couple of times before Covid. Used to be super crowded but now seems to be slightly quieter than before. Some popular vendors still get a long queue. Grizzly is definitely one of them as far as I can tell. Really like the fact that a wide range of varieties are there so have pretty good choice for food and drinks.
Great place to visit. Variety choices of food, desserts, fresh vegetables and fruits.
Good vibes and a variety of food stalls. Some vendors only accept cash. Be prepared for a short walk as it is mostly street parking.
Wonderful little market! Great food and community. Lots of affordable treats and honest produce. ATM at the entrance for cash withdrawals. You must try the bratwurst, simply amazing
Must visit when you are in Christchurch, especially on a beautiful summer day… grab some bites and sit by the river to enjoy your food while watching the ducks play in the water. Watch out not to step or sit on duck poop though.
Fantastic Farmers Market, heaps of glorious eclectic food.. loved the Wanton soup stall. Brownie stall was epic and the others as well. People were super friendly, stellar environment with picturesque little river running through and the ducks get a feed too!
Great little market for Saturday morning. Local produce, bread and cheese, coffee and chai are the ones with the biggest queue, okonomiyaki, desserts, wine and more. Most stalls Jane EFTPOS but not always. There's an ATM machine at the entrance. It is by the river so it's nice to get some good and drink and sit by the river.
Nice place for walking, very crowded on each Saturday morning, some hawkers sells their own natured products. You can take and enjoy a cafe at a nice and classic house / cafe shop.
Nice. It's always nice coming here for fresh air and a nice walk. Food is fine, overall a bit overpriced, and a lot of "organic" "vegetarian" trendy food, but butchers and cheeses are very good. The earlier you go the more stuff you can find. Also you can get your lunch here and eat next to the stream. Lovely.
