The staff at this branch are extremely rude and slow. Even when the branch is not particularly busy, the service can take an unnecessarily long time.nnI’ve also experienced what feels like repeated and unnecessary checking of the same medication. Information is checked multiple times, even after it has already been confirmed in their system and printed out on the paperwork. This makes the whole process frustrating and unnecessarily time-consuming.nnThe main issue doesn’t seem to be how busy the branch is, but rather the staff’s attitude and the way customers are treated.nnUnfortunately, many people don’t have much choice when it comes to which pharmacy they can use, so they have to continue coming to this branch despite the poor experience. The service and attitude really need to improve.
AVOID. If you enjoy waiting over an hour and leaving with nothing…..they butchered my father’s prescription, I took it back covered in scribbles and writing, left with no medication. Took it to the urgent pharmacy and they were horrified, and said they could easily fill the script.nAs for the store, no room in the aisles to even walk around or look at anything, rude staff, over stimulating. Worst pharmacy I’ve been to.
I won't shop at this store it's horrible! So overcrowded, bright & stressful! Also its a weird checkout setup. If I need to buy anything now I will online or somewhere else. I have found online really good.
I have only had bad experiences at the Dunedin Chemist Warehouse, which is why I’m writing this review. The management consistently comes across as rude and dismissive, and there is a noticeable lack of basic respect for customers. During one visit, the manager lady at the pharmacy counter spoke very coldly and impatiently to a customer in front of me, which was uncomfortable to witness and reflected poorly on the store.nnI think the managers there are a bit stingy too, most perfumes don’t even have tester bottles available, which defeats the purpose of browsing in person.nnStock availability is another ongoing issue. Almost every time I visit, the items I need are out of stock. The shelves are often bare, with large gaps where products should be, making the store feel poorly managed and neglected.nThe layout is overwhelming and unpleasant. There is very little space to move around, and the neon-bright colours and excessive signage make the store feel cluttered and chaotic rather than welcoming. Signage is frequently messy or fallen on the floor, adding to the overall sense of disorganisation.nnOverall, shopping here is frustrating and uncomfortable. You’re far better off shopping online or going to stores like Antidote, Bargain Chemist, or Farmers, where the environment is calmer, stock is more reliable, and customers are treated with far more courtesy and basic respect.
I lost $10. They lost a regular customer. ‘ No, it is entirely illegal. Under New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act CGA, a business cannot impose a strict 7-day, 30-day, or arbitrary time limit on returning faulty goods’. Yet, the 7 days policy was quoted to me, and the manager couldn’t be bothered to see me. Not going back!
