I have only had bad experiences at the Dunedin Chemist Warehouse, which is why I’m writing this review. The management consistently comes across as rude and dismissive, and there is a noticeable lack of basic respect for customers. During one visit, the manager lady at the pharmacy counter spoke very coldly and impatiently to a customer in front of me, which was uncomfortable to witness and reflected poorly on the store.nnI think the managers there are a bit stingy too, most perfumes don’t even have tester bottles available, which defeats the purpose of browsing in person.nnStock availability is another ongoing issue. Almost every time I visit, the items I need are out of stock. The shelves are often bare, with large gaps where products should be, making the store feel poorly managed and neglected.nThe layout is overwhelming and unpleasant. There is very little space to move around, and the neon-bright colours and excessive signage make the store feel cluttered and chaotic rather than welcoming. Signage is frequently messy or fallen on the floor, adding to the overall sense of disorganisation.nnOverall, shopping here is frustrating and uncomfortable. You’re far better off shopping online or going to stores like Antidote, Bargain Chemist, or Farmers, where the environment is calmer, stock is more reliable, and customers are treated with far more courtesy and basic respect.
I am done with non-english speaking people who don't understand what I am asking and they are on checkout ...doing front facing customer service that they are not equipped to do at all well...nI have decided there's other places to get what I want and get better service even if I have to pay a little more...nPaying a little more is worth having people who know their store and stock and give customer service.....
There has been a clear decline in service. The warmth and Kiwi hospitality that once characterised the shopping experience now seem absent — staff come across as disrespectful and hostile — which is unfortunate.
I spent time with Lilia this morning as she helped me search for new perfumes and Christmas gifts for my family, she was incredibly helpful and was the most friendly salesperson. She went above and beyond and was so patient, she seemed genuinely interested in helping me find new perfumes and I couldn't have been more happy with my purchases! Thank you Lilia
went in to order essential medication, I was told that once I paid for it at the counter that it would be ordered and available for collection the next day. When a relative went in to pick it up I was unable to due to my mother being in surgery, he was told that this was not the case, and that I had to bring in the receipt to the pharmacy. This was not communicated to me at any point, and now I am out $450 which is money I do not have. Shoddy service, poor communication and terrible organisation. I won't be coming here again and I will be telling others to avoid it also. I almost never leave reviews but this was so bafflingly stupid that I had to. Yikes
