Story

Central Lakes Physiotherapy was established in 2007 and is owned by Vicky Hill. We provide long appointment times to really get to the root of the problem and believe in educating patients about their injuries which will result in quicker recoveries. Central Lakes Physio also provides Pilates classes to ensure that our patients get better and stay better. Don't delay - Just Fix It!!

Mission

Central Lakes Physiotherapy Ltd (CLP) strives to be the leading physiotherapy clinic of choice for the Wanaka area for occupational health, ACC rehabilitation contracts, sports and musculo rehabilitation.
We ensure that we provide a friendly personable environment for all our clients to enjoy. We have an awesome frontline reception team, an expert team of physiotherapists and very dynamic pilates instructors to help you reach your physical goals.

Central Lakes Physio is an excellent service. I've been having regular physio appointments with Rachel Bridgewater for six months. She is fantastic. She is clearly passionate about her work. She's thorough and really considers what is important to an individual patient. She treats her patients with respect and patience, explaining problems and how treatment will help. Everything is organised very well and Gill, the practice manager, adds fantastic character to the place and a smile to anyone who walks in. I'd recommend Central Lakes to anyone and I'll be coming back with any further problems

I have had the privilege of not only being a regular member of Vicky's Studio Pilates class but also a client of her magic hands. V icky may be slight in stature but don't let her size fool you! She has the power of a sumo wrestler in those arms and hands providing the ability to deliver "good healing pain". Vicky possesses a delightful sense of humour, a caring and concerned personality and a very highly skilled professional approach to all her clients. I have also experienced Pilates classes taken by other very qualified members of the Central Lakes Pilates team and been equally impressed by their professional approach. The cherry welcome of Jill and Frances at the reception desk completes an enjoyable experience that I highly recommend.
I have seen Catherine Lyness in the past from Central Lakes Physio and she was awesome!! Highly recommend - I had runners knee come on a few weeks out from a big trail race and Catherine got me in shape to complete the run. Recently I tore my calf muscle playing touch rugby yes I am getting older. Catherine wasn't available however I was put onto Vicky who owns Central Lakes Physio. She has been awesome in diagnosing the issue and working with me to get my calf back up and running. In a short period of time I was back into some light jogging. When I first injured my calf Central Lakes Physio provided me with crutches at no cost. I had them for 1 week and was never chased up about returning them. Vic has been great and the team there are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend again after my second experience!
I made the switch to Central Lakes after feeling unsatisfied elsewhere and immediately felt comfortable, confident, and very well taken care of under the care of Vicky. It was a great decision for my knee! She is proactive and thorough, really thought through my situation and created a well-rounded recovery plan. She was a strong advocate for me, and pushed to take full advantage of my rights many of which I was unaware of through ACC. Vicky is truly great at what she does!!
Wonderful Pilates classes which are so good for my balance. Lots of fun with professional instructors who are friendly, positive and encouraging. Definitely recommend it, it's one class I always try to attend.
Over the past 5 years I have had multiple injuries and Central Lakes Physio has always been there to help me get better. I have used their concussion services, physio's and more recently I completed the 6 weeks Pilates class. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I highly recommend seeing Vicky Hill, she is extremely knowledgeable and also educated me how to prevent my injuries in the future.
I have been using Central Lakes Physio for over 4 years for various minor and not so minor injuries. Vicky and Ashley do a wonderful job, they are compassionate and caring and do everything possible to get you back to full health and movement as soon as possible. They take care of all ACC paperwork and make the entire process very user friendly. I thoroughly recommend their services for all injuries and for prevention work. David.
I attended the Pilates with Vicky. The whole experience was fabulous, from the ladies at reception to using the facilities to change and Vicky's preparation with having the class set out for us. The instructions and content of the session was clear, straight forward and easy to follow. Back ground information given on the various exercises and muscle groups that were being focused on. Overall very professional, friendly, results were achieved and I would recommend Central Lakes Physio and Pilates to anyone.
Central Lakes Physio has been my place of choice since I first moved to Wanaka in 2011. It’s warm caring vibe as soon as you walk through the door, up to date knowledgeable and passionate staff and all the required facilities on hand,with my long standing injuries making me a regular patient, I can highly recommend them. I have on-going physio due to a high maintenance injury 20 years ago- meaning I have had many physiotherapists throughout the years and Vicky and her team are my top pick! So much so, I will be returning to Wanaka 2017 after a serious foot/ ankle surgery mainly due to wanting Catherine at Central Lakes Physio to be my neuro physiotherapist for intense 6month+ of physio.
