Cashmere Early Learning Centre is a high-quality boutique Preschool which is privately owned and operated. The centre caters for children aged 0-5 years and offers purpose built classrooms creating a stimulating learning environment.

Story

Our vision is to provide a high quality centre where families and whaanau are provided with a warm, caring and nurturing environment. Our staff are all qualified and registered teachers, ready to work with you in a team approach to ensure that your's and your child's needs are met.

Our small homely environment combined with our small numbers (Nursery 8 children/2 teachers and Preschool 18 children/3 teachers) ensures that children have one to one opportunities and also participate in experiences that they may also be helping out with at home.

We believe that children learn through play experiences and we are there to support and facilitate opportunities that arise and extend upon them.

Our core curriculum experiences include:
In the Preschool:
Play dough, paint, construction play, home corner, dress ups, books, puzzles, emergent writing, small world play, music and outdoor play.

In the Nursery:
Small world play, stacking, books, music, puzzles, floor time, construction, play dough, imaginative play, heuristic (natural object) play, sorting and posting experiences.

CELC is a hidden gem. We wanted a small, supportive environment for our 2 year old and are so glad we found this centre! The staff are wonderful and our daughter loves going. She settled quickly and we felt part of the family straight away. Small ratios and qualified teachers, you won’t regret choosing them
We highly recommend CELC to everyone who looks for a place that feels like a second home to their child. We have reviewed many centres in the area and are so happy that we have chosen this one. Since we moved our son to CELC we no longer have issues with crying during drop-offs. Each morning there is great selection of activities ready to go, and the kids are so eager to try them that I have to repeatedly ask to get a kiss goodbye. They have multiple areas for children to play including a main room, quiet room, outdoor patio and a well setup large outdoor area. They are very well equipped for many activities and they are always coming up with new ideas for how to help the little ones be more self-sufficient. They have the most amazing team of teachers that give this centre the family feel where I know that my child is safe and happy. Our son calls Iris “Preschool Mama”; I believe that it is self-explanatory. They work with every child as an individual and help them to improve the skills they struggle with and build confidence. A great example is that they taught our son how to ride a scooter in less than a month after us attempting the same for over a year.
Amazing little center with small class size, high ratios and lovely Kaiako. Highly recommend.
After having pulled my son out of a previous centre due to miss treatment, I was very apprehensive as to who would care for him next. Cashmere Early Learning went above and beyond for my family, so much so my son never wanted to come home Iris and her team do an amazing job, I can't recommend this centre enough. The staff give such good care to all the tamariki. The kids learn so much and are always kept busy. My little one even learnt some sign language. There is an amazing range of interactive toys for the kids inside and outside the centre. My biggest regret is not having found this centre sooner
I can't recommend CELC more highly. I have been blown away by the centre and the team who make it so special. My two children have blossomed during their time at CELC. The teachers are kind, caring and intentionally foster a safe, calm, stimulating environment for the children. There are fun new activities daily, the children are taught in a way which fosters a love of learning, and they learn not only information about how the world works but also about self-care, relationship skills and emotion regulation. The centre has exceeded my expectations. 5* and thank you so much CELC team!
