A fantastic two night stay! I was in the newer building room 204 and it was beautiful, with a lovely view, the most incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, and amazing shower pressure with properly hot water, which is always such a treat. A welcome brownie at check in was a lovely touch too. I was in town for the St Clair Half Marathon and treated myself to room service after the race: the fish finger sammie, french fries with garlic salt and chipotle, and a Boomtown Pilsner. Absolutely incredible and exactly what I needed. Every staff member I encountered was warm, welcoming and genuinely friendly. A real 10/10 stay and I’d happily return next time I’m in Marlborough.
We had an amazing experience at Carnmore Chateau Blenheim. The second we got there, we were warmly greeted by Annie. Annie went well above & beyond with her professional Customer Service. Both when we checked in, and checked out the next day. Annie upgraded us for FREE to a suite. This room was so beautiful, clean & large. It had EVERYTHING you needed! We went out of our way to spend as much as we could after we had unpacked. We almost spent twice as much on room service than the room cost itself The food was amazing, we ordered the Beef Fillet, Apple/Peach Crumble and at 3:30am we ordered 2 Cheese, Pineapple, Ham Sourdough Toasted Sandwiches. And Half a dozen Espresso Martinis Great times. Thank you Carnmore, and a bigger thank you to Annie. We appreciate everything. Highly recommended AAAAAA++++++
The staff were friendly and couldn't be more helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Although in the middle of town it was quiet. The restaurant meal of roast lamb and chocolate gateau was delicious and well priced. Couldn't be more central. Lots of parking. A great experience thank you. The receptionist even came up to our room when we couldn't figure out the TV.
I used to stay at the Chateau Marlborough loads when working for Air NZ. However when visiting Blenheim personally, I tend to stay at the Scenic Hotel, as I just found it more comfortable.nnOn my latest visit to Blenheim, I decided to book with the Chateau, as the hotel was offering a decent meal credit as part of a winter promo.nnOne thing the Chateau Marlborough definitely excels at is Customer Service. Every Staff member I interacted with was friendly and attentive.nnMy room was in the newer part of the Hotel. Unfortunately parking was extremely limited on this weekday night, and I had to park on the street. The room was spacious and comfortable, but definitely could be a bit cleaner, with quite a lot of stray hair and dust around.nnThick blackout curtains keep the room pitch black, even in daylight. The rooms are also nice and quiet. That was until 7.45am, when all of a sudden they started playing music in the corridors. So loud in fact, that it woke me up, and could hear it from inside my room with the door shut. I mean there are worse ways to wake up then Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. But come on! It's ridiculous. That was a real let down, and frankly quite unacceptable.nnAlso a let down was Breakfast. Limited choices, covered in grease and cold. One of the worse Hotel breakfasts I have ever had, and nowhere near as good as they used to be.nnOverall it was comfortable, I slept well until I was woken up, and the Customer Service was excellent. I would definitely stay again if there was another good promo running, however I think my next visit back to Blenheim will be at the Scenic. That music in the corridors was not a good start to the day!
We stayed here as a family group but each group had booked separately on different days. Kit and Annie were extremely helpful and managed to get us in rooms close to each other. The rooms are big and well appointed, the beds are super comfy, the restaurant is really good the best yorkshire pudding I've EVER had and the hotel itself is really convenient to town, literally a couple of minutes walk. We stayed in the winter so the pool was closed but I can imagine that during the summer it would be wonderful out there, big comfy seating and a barbeque. And above all, an exceptionally good value for money. We will definitely stay here again.
