Carey's Bay Hotel

Professional establishment. I had friendly staff. Meal was very well presented. Alittle too much garlic in the fish dish. Comparable and realistic prices for wine and food. Location is by the sea but a busy road.

Absolutely loved the historic hotel, ambience, food was delicious and staff friendly. Couldn't ask for more. They've got an amazing menu, will have to make few more trips to try the rest

Beautiful lunch here with friends today. We were seated in the conservatory and I had a great view of the rear garden. The food was good and served promptly. Loved the sense of history in the building.

Reasonable food and price but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Although the place was rather quiet, we still waited many minutes too long for our order to be taken. The service that was received wasn't with a smile which was pretty much expected given our whole experience.

Such a gorgeous and iconic place to visit and dine at. Carey's is well known to Dunedin locals, but those from further afield shouldn't miss out on it's seafood and other menu choices either. They also have a great selection of vegetarian options, so don't hesitate. It's well worth the trip out to Port Chalmers to eat at Carey's
