Capers Cafe + Store

One of our favourite cafe in the North Island. The vegetarian/vegan options were incredibly flavourful. The staff was super nice. Even though it is a big place, it feels cosy.

We came here for a very early breakfast before we headed out for the Hobbiton tour. We came just as they opened, so it wasn't busy at all. I had the eggs Benedict with salmon, which also came with hash browns/tater tots. Everything was cooked perfectly and so delicious. Staff were great and service was quick. There's plenty of seating, and it's super clean inside. Around the cash register area, they also have premade sandwiches and salads you can order.

This probably was our most favorite dining spot in Rotorua. It was like a big open market place when you walk in, it was already super busy with a very nice atmosphere, we ordered poached eggs it was very nicely portioned and everything was so good. I wanted to try some cabinet food too but I was already full, coffee was great and we would definitely come back here for brunch again when we are back in Rotorua.

Delicious meal. Fresh ingredients. Courteous staff. Cute little shop with local made goods inside as well! Definitely worth stopping in when looking for a bite in Rotorua.

Great food and large portions - no chance you’ll leave hungry. We got the Pork Belly Loaded Fries and the Pork Belly Eggs Benny. From what I could tell these are their “signature dishes” and both did not disappoint.nnIf you’re a couple that’s hungry, get two dishes. If you’re not super hungry, share the loaded fries.nnPS. The coffee was top notch as well - far exceeded expectations perfectly steamed silky milk.
