Cafe Sandspit Relaunch - 5 August 2018

We are a dedicated team of friendly staff, who are excited about taking over the Management of this gorgeous, local cafe. Who can complain about working in an environment that offers delicious food and stunning views over the sparkling, Hauraki Gulf? We aim to make your visit as enjoyable as possible, offering delicious drinks and meals. We will be selling liquor as soon as the Cafe liquor license has been approved and issued. Drop in and visit us some time. Cafe Sandspit proudly supports local businesses and the local community.

Website and sign outside said open until 3pm. We drove over 45 minutes in pouring rain and road works, arriving at 1:10 for lunch only to be told the kitchen was closed. The food here came highly recommended but I guess we'll never find out since we won't be making the trip again.
Best cappuccino I've had in Auckland. Love this place, breakfast and a "show". *Not technically a show, but the guy working there is like a stand up comedian.
Lovely friendly cafe on the water, one of the best eggs Benedict we've ever eaten. All element's on plate just right and plenty of yummy hollandaise sauce. Loaded wedges were very good too
What a great place to have lunch. We've had fish and chips big serve "make good Chip's here" Mum and the fish excellent too, BLT, and mushroom stack with eggs - all delicious. Nice ginger desert. View fantastic and the bay an ever-changing feast for the eyes. Good service and just downright good!
Guy behind the counter has such rude behavior. Experience not the greatest. Treated my husband and father with the worst attitude. Wont buy here again. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed maybe?? Mannerisms not suited to customer service at all. Hope ur day gets better buddy.
A tasty big breakfast with yummy coffee served by friendly staff and I could sit outside with my dog being welcome. Would eat there again.
Jolly nice outlook over the water, excellent coffee and the seafood chowder was delightful, staff were brilliant and attentive. Well worth the trip out. Thank you.
Great food great service great views
The best lunch I have had in all my 16 yrs living in Auckland. They still do scrambled eggs. The simple meals are the hardest to cook well. I can appreciate his skills. I could drive a hour from Auckland just to have lunch here again.
