I did not stay the night here BUT I did shower here! So great of them to offer shower services for non-guests. $5 is more than reasonable for a hot shower after a hike or long drive, and Kay was so kind, friendly, and hospitable. Great service, and very cute and wholesome little hostel. The value seems very worthwhile and I would have happily stayed here if I needed accommodation while in the area!!
A perfect place to stay to start or end the TA, Roadtrippers or stewart island visitors to come back to civilization in a really unique way! A lovely old building. The owner is a kind lady. Just give her a call if you want to stay in your small! Campervan dont bring her with your 8m Caravan! That might mess up her car-tetrisgame. You can leave the car in her backyard for your days on Stewart island for 5$/d.! Enjoy your time,nRODEO!
Lovely place to stay. The end of the road for the TA walkers/bikers so a great place to meet people from around the world. Kay and Artua are helpful hosts.
Atmosphere is the name of the game, stay here if you want to stay at an offbeat and affordable location. Very popular with Te Araroa thru-hikers! Kay is an absolute trail angel
Had to cancel my booking last minute, but the host Kay was very understanding and helpful. Would recommend to others!
