My partner and I stayed here for our Queenstown trip and was fully satisfied with accommodation.nn- The location was good as there were many restaurants and stores at walking distance.n- If you have a car, free parking spots were relatively hard to find, so it’s best to walk to your destinations as much as possible.n- We had a private room with shared facilities. Everything was clean. The room was warm. Had no major trouble with the room and facilities.n- The app used to access rooms was great. As someone who is anxious about losing or forgetting keys and cards, it was great having it all on your phone as it took up no physical space and took only a few taps to unlock rooms. Codes can also be used to unlock rooms if you don’t want to bring your phone.n- While we didn’t take advantage of it, we appreciated the free services such as the sauna and bike rental.n- The best part of the accommodation was the staff. They were all genuinely kind, caring people and very hospitable. Even as someone with social anxiety, it was not awkward to talk to them about anything.n- All processes were quick and uncomplicated in our opinion.n- We recommend this spot for cheaper accommodation in Queenstown.nnWe hope you will have a similar positive experience as ours if you do decide to come here :
It's a nice hostel in Queenstown. The staff and the overall atmosphere was very friendly. The rooms were good. The bunk beds do have curtains, so it feels like you have some privacy. But I would recommend asking for a top bed! The bottom one is too narrow. You can't sit in there. I always hit my head when turning over...
Perfectly located-slightly removed from town. The jacuzzi and sauna were a huge added bonus but the best part was the staff. I had an injury and had to stay longer than expected-everyone on the team helped me move all my things, constantly checked in on me and made sure I had everything I needed. Plus everyone was super friendly, and the living room vibe of the hang out space was super cozy. A++ experience!
Loved every second, great vibe around the backpackers. Kitchen, bathrooms and rooms always kept clean. Great chill out area with a nice fire and comfy seating. Loved the staff members Nicole and Mia who made my stay even better. Would 100% recommend!!
I don't know where to start with this place but I will try...To start with, I am writing this while I am still in my room in the hostel. In my freezing room that being said.nnThe room is freezing cold and I can't turn on the heating because ''the heating automatically switches off when a certain temperature is reached''. The temperature in the room now is probably 13 degrees and the outside temperature is 9 degrees.nnThe bathrooms are the same, freezing cold but nothing can be done. I wanted to take a shower but it's simply too cold for it.nnWe've booked a private room and you would expect shower gel or a shampoo..Nothing provided.nnKitchen again - it's freezing, there is no proper seating space and all the pans are so old and not usable that they look like you could poison yourself if you'd cook in those. The layout of the kitchen is also something they could have think about a bit more. The sliding door of the kitchen are so heavy that on one wants to deal with closing or opening of those so they remain open most of the time which makes the kitchen space even more cold.nnAfter so many great experiences with hostels across New Zealand in the past 3 weeks this one comes as a real disappointment.
