This bike shop was recommended to me , as I'm visiting on my touring bike . Andy , at the front desk was so very , very helpful & a delight to deal with . He sorted a minor problem out with my pedals for me . Great service , and a well layed out shop . Will highly recommend this place . All the very best .
Outstanding service from a local company! Darren went out of his way to accomodate a service on a second hand mountain bike I purchased from Trade Me. I am 100% green regarding bikes. Darren willingly shared his knowledge without talking down or belittling my novice biking status. He suggested some helpful improvements - As I'm tall - a handle bar extender, which has taken pressure off of my back and neck when riding. Service identified a safety issue, which they called to approve purchasing a part for before fixing the issue. I also didn't realise they were operating under Covid hours so I turned up at 8am with my bike Covid hours they opened @ 9am. I contacted DC Cycles on messenger on the off chance someone was around to take my bike. DC cycles responded within 5 minutes and said no problem I'll leave home now and see you in 15 minutes. Very considerate as this was my mistake. Friday the part didn't turn up due to freight delays until 4:30pm. DC Cycles called wondering if I wanted my bike for the weekend as it was looking a bluebird day they would be happy to wait for me they close at 5pm to get into Timaru from Geraldine 35 mins after I finished work at 5pm. Again going out of their way to accommodate me. So I picked up my bike at 5:35pm. Had a great weekend riding, enjoyed the raised handle bars and this new foray into MTB adventures. Bike in fantastic running condition. Thanks DC Cycles!
Very helpful and good range of kit to choose from
Spoke to someone on the phone: let them know I would be driving from Dunedin to Timaru to purchase a bike that's not avaible online for some reason?. I ended the converstion with "See you tomorrow afternoon" Rep failed to mention that the Google page's opening hours are completely wrong and the shop closes at 12:00pm.. Complete waste of time and gas.
Bit of a wait and didn't have exactly what I needed, but helped me find something that worked instead. Nice tidy shop and great customer service.
Since owning an ebike I have found dc cycles very helpful and great to deal with
