Such a fantastic shop, the guy behind the counter is so nice and super knowledgeable. Ripper selection of boards and gear.

It was refreshing to go to a surf shop that actually lived up to its name-not a glorified clothing store. The place exuded good vibes and local knowledge

I  the smell of surf wax when you walk into the shop.  The owner was more than helpful He didn't have the mermaid fin I wanted in stock and ordered it in for me and text when it arrived.  Very happy with service and highly recommend

I love shopping at a place where the staff genuinely care.  Great range of boards, wetsuits, accessories, clothing and more to make sure that all my surfing requirements were covered.  I was very impressed with the staff member's product knowledge. I can definitely recommend to others.

Rude staff the owner apparently. I asked about size, he replied "haven't you ever bought a wetsuit before?" After trying on several suits we would have spent a few hundred bucks in the store but such was the guy's attitude my family and i elected to go somewhere else. I hung the suits back up but when I went to leave the owner stops me to tell me I should have brought them to reception. I said "no problem, i'll get them" he said "no, I'm closing now". We have tried to figure out what the owner's problem was and have narrowed it down to either a we brought in two young kids, b he's a local surf celeb we didn't recognize, c we are not all kiwi or d he has a disposition poorly suited to working in a shop. I think all apply.

Very rude and dishonnest owner. I brought 2 wetsuits and he angrily complained that i tried more than one wetsuit ?? and accused me of breaking the zip of one i didnt even zipped as the bottom didnt fit. Arrogant and rude... Looking at some of the other comments, i suggests you go somewhere else if you were not born and raised in Taranaki.

The owner was such a dooshbag towards my family and I that we left without purchasing anything as a matter of principal. No need for such aggressive, rude service. Clearly not a happy individual.

Good advice on wax, surf booties, and fins for my bodyboard. Good service and friendly guys. Will be buying from them again.

Best ever the only surfshop id deal with, one of the last real real surfshops standing with Mana yeeeeow Shaka

Good help good deals chip your the man always out to help so il be back for more gear when needed.
