Bay of Islands Swordfish Club (Inc)

We dined here on our last nights stay in Pahia. We were told this was the place to go for fresh seafood as I'm a mad seafood fan. We were sadly disappointed. This was actually the worst seafood we ate during our whole New Zealand trip. We ordered the seafood platter for two and were surprised when it came out at how sad it looked. Deep fried run of the mill calamari rings , a couple of dry old skewers with a prawn or two and a scollop attached. 4 or 5 dried up rubbery old mussels in their shells with some of the beard still attached, presented upright in a little bowl that had no liquid, moisture or taste at all and a rubbery old piece of dried fish. The side of potato wedges and the 2 oysters were the nicest thing on the plate. For $55 we expected a little more. Sadly would not return here again to eat.

Nice little place with parking at the back. Great views and good food with reasonable drink prices. Good for food, good for drinks, good service.

Russell Club is a great place to sit on the deck and sip a wine or beer and watch the sun go down.

Always a great place to grab a drink and amazing views from the balcony
