I had booked and paid extra for a two bedroom suite. However when I arrived, it was only a one bedroom apartment.nnI approached the guy at reception, showed him my booking for a two bedroom. He didn't seem to care, just said he didn't know why that happened, and suggested that there is still a single bed in the lounge.nI was too tired to argue so just went to sleep on a little single bed in the lounge :nnThe ONLY reason I booked a night here was because they advertised a two bedroom unit with a lounge. I would have stayed at a better motel if I just wanted one bedroom and a lounge.nnI felt the motel room was quite dated, although it was clean enough, the shower was warm, soap, towels, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk provided. Two big heaters and extra blankets ensured we were warm. Free Wifi, TV with Netflix in the lounge and in the bedroom.nnIf you need a two bedroom apartment, you should call up prior to arriving to make sure they haven't sold it to someone else and bumped you down to a single.
I would prefer to pay a little extra for hotels. The motel rooms are quite dusty and there was dead spider on our bed under the sheets. Bathrooms are superficially cleaned only. The good thing was free netflix but really dont need it during a trip
My recent interaction with the staff at this hotel left me thoroughly impressed with their thoughtfulness and care. Jessica and the team went above and beyond to offer their support. Their genuine empathy and outstanding customer service made my experience truly memorable. Highly recommended for their exceptional hospitality!
The property is not a reflection of what I would consider 4 stars. The smoke alarms don't work, which is a safety issue, the bedside lamp bulbs, 1 does not work and the other is absent. Additionally, the lamp head is loose. The freezer doesn't freeze water for ice, the net curtains are not clean nor hung correctly. I am unclear as to when the floor was cleaned and the lino was lifting. The wallpaper albeit dated, was buckled and appeared to be lifting. There was no heat pump. Just 1 oil fin heater that worked and one where the fan on it didn't work. As Invercargill does not enjoy a balmy climate, one would assume the availability of a heat pump when heating is advertised. This place is disgusting.
Faulty electrics, no grab bar in shower area,poor heating.
