Story

Waiheke's newest hi-tech gravity-flow winery located at the island’s highest vineyard with spectacular views. Batch is a unique addition to the Waiheke wine destination. One of only two boutique wineries in New Zealand making handcrafted Italian style FIZZ sparkling wine.

Thomas's Bach vineyard restaurant serves Lunch plates, our signature High Tea & Bubbles and Sunset Dining daily in summer. Enjoy The Bach Grills. Gatherings for family & friends on the deck, alfresco or at the long table in The Hedge. Gatherings and parties in The Greenhouse. Summer open daily 11am - 9pm. Winter open Fri, Sat & Sun 11am - 5pm.

Getting there: Batch bus connects Matiatia with Batch hourly & return during open hours .

Family-owned Batch Winery produces wines which are crafted in small lots without compromise. Thomas, Thomas's Bach and FIZZ sparkling. Our wines seek to express the uniqueness of the land. Attention is given to every detail from the north-facing sun-soaked hillside vineyards to our state of the art winery. Our unique individual berry selection technology, wild fermentation, and gravity flow winery produce wonderful examples of Waiheke wines including Syrah, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, and Flora.
