We came across these guys at the French Festival at the Cloud, and I must say they do excellent crayfish bisque and pork belly burger. The pork belly was crispy and there were plenty of tender meat, too. The bisque was served nice and hot on a cold day and taste was rich flavoursome. Good job guys.
Contemporary meets modernism – taste buds were pleasantly surprised!! Urban Escargot gave me a taste of good French food with a twist of modernity and good portion size too!. The freshness of ingredients comes through with the taste of what I had!! Delicious and yummy! But most importantly, served with a smile – all you can ask on this beautiful island of Waiheke!!! A must try!! Good options too with vego!!
Our guests loved his food and one young man will become a chef one day as he let him help plate up his family's dinner. He was still smiling from ear to ear the next day. Nico has chefed for us a few times recently and the guests have been extremely happy. I'd be happy to recommend Nico and Urban Escargot to anyone.
Nico is the master of casual classy - food with fabulous flavours and versatile combinations. He catered our wedding with over 300 guests and people couldn't stop talking about the food! Easy to work with, patient and creative - he made our day!
Urban Escargot catered for 20 people at an evening 60th party in a private home on Waiheke Island. From selecting the finger food menu, to getting quotes, agreeing staff, changing the menu, arranging payment, setting up the event - all the pre party stuff went well. Nico was responsive and helpful and gave good advice using his experience. On the day the event went smoothly. 100% perfectly managed. The food was excellent, all guests commented positively about the quantity, variety, quality and taste. The wait staff one was friendly and attentive and in the end the clean up was like they were never there! The experience and value was excellent - the price was similar to others but Nico was much more attentive and flexible to deal with. Based on my experience I would recommend Urban Escargot without hesitation.
Thanks so much to the wonderful Nico and his team for our fabulous wedding feast. The food was incredible - several people commented on it through-out the evening and have since. Incredible food, incredible service - we couldn't have asked for more and it really added to the overall experience of the day. Thanks again Nico!
Discovered this food truck on Waiheke Island. Delicious food ... generous portions ...all served up in no time with a smile too. The lentil and goat cheese salad was so fresh and yummy .
