It was good experience overall. Grill fish was a bit average to my liking, but you can tell, it’s not often ordered. Chips and Paua fritter were solid. Service was good!
Best fish and chips in town with less amount of oil and fair price. Perfectly cooked chips. Will visit again. They are transparent as the cooking is visible to public through the glass window from outside the shop.
Took awhile for my order but its okay because they were busy. Nothing but perfection. There was a little girl answering the phone and writing the orders snd such, great family effort, im assuming. They rock
We recently moved to Masterton, already we are convinced this is the best takeaway for Chinese meals and F&C. Sometimes the wait is quite long, a testimony to it's popularity!
For a small town fish & chip shop Basils is the place to find great tasting takeaways at an affordable price. The chips are my favourite, well cooked and crispy with good portions of fish. I recommend you try them if in Masterton.
