Awanui Labs (previously Canterbury SCL) - New Brighton

Went to get bloods done yesterday but place was closed, went to another lab that place was closed too! Went today and had to wait so long, tried to book online but no spaces anywhere for weeks. System needs to be improved. Could be a lot better. Could be more efficient and need to work with docs so they can advise if a place that is supposed to be open is actually closed so not wasting time driving for one place to another. Have no issue with the actual staff. They r kind and polite.

I attended the New Brighton lab this morning and regret not asking the lady her name. Two of the friendliest and efficient people you could ask to meet! There is a lot of pressure on the staff with a constant flow of walk ins and demands yet superfriendly staff. At 7.30 a.m. there were alreadg people queuing outside the door. One has to take a ticket and wait, but that is the norm with many labs. The earlier you can get there the better.nThanks for an excellent early morning experience.

Checked online says open get down there CLOSED yet again no excuse very poor management .
