About Us
The New Lynn Aussie Butcher opened its doors in May 2008 and has since grown into a busy shop offering customers a wide range of gourmet cuts to cater for every taste. Customers can select from a wide choice of pre-packaged products or buy as they need from the service cabinets. We only stock the very best in New Zealand meat
The store is Owned and operated by Reuben Sharples, winner of the ALTO BUTCHER OF THE YEAR 2017, and managed by Jason Perry, a fourth generation butcher with over twenty-five years’ local experience. Reuben, Jason and the rest of the team provide excellent service in a friendly and professional manner. Whether it be special requests or just giving cooking advice, the team is always ready and willing to help.
We know that no two customers are alike, and that we live in a diverse neighborhood, so we aim to cater for a range of needs. We take great pride in our homemade gluten free sausages, which have won numerous medals, and our corned silverside made the old fashioned way. Another favourite is the authentic tandoori marinade made by Sandeep, our in-house Fijian Indian Butcher. Another highlight is our traditional wood smoked ham and award-winning bacon, as well as a wide selection of other smoked products.
We also stock dry-aged beef, and an extensive range of other fresh products at the service bar, designed for your convenience. And then there is a host of other products, from curry pieces through to whole pigs, lambs, meat packs and more.
There is also an extensive range of freedom farmed pork and free range and organic chicken, beef and lamb products.
The store is handily located near a Bakers Delight and Fruit World. There is ample free parking, so as well as the convenience of one-stop-shopping you can also take advantage of the great in-store specials.
