Coming back here to stay. Walking distance to the Spa's, town and walking tracks. Well equipped kitchen and friendly, helpful owner.Rooms: 4/5
This was a perfect place to start our NZ trip. One of the “top ten one day hikes” in New Zealand brought us here. Greg is a local who is a great host and had a wonderful place. We did the Bald Spur Track just behind the lodge, but the top of Wairere Falls, a short drive south, was the highlight of our trip. Behind the lodge is the District Museum and then to the adjacent Te Aroha Mineral Spas for a long soak. Two blocks away is a small-town main street with grocery, restaurants and coffee shops. A very nice place to spend three days.
So at home friendly atmosphere. They bend over backwards to make your stay the best ever. Small town hospitality. Can't wait to go back for a super relaxing break

Great location, right next to the Te Aroha Domain and the hot spas. The room we had was well appointed and the owners were lovely.
