Thank you Peter and Greg for the wonderful stay in the Arcadia Lodge!nEverything was perfect. The house with the wonderful wooden floors, the terrace with the spectecluar outlook to the ocean, the fantastic breakfast from Peter and the cookies… the nice walk through the garden to waterfront Russell and it‘s restaurants. Everything perfect. And the golden Star will be for the Kindness and warm Welcome by you, Peter and Greg. You couldn't better the location, and the rooms were so tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of the building however, the greatest drawcard to this establishment are the hosts - they were perfect in every way. Welcoming, attentive and professional and the breakfast....well, I've NEVER been offered such a spread of deliciousness. Fabulous.nThank you both, so much.

Peter and Greg, the hosts of the Arcadia Lodge, are the most warm-hearted and caring hosts we‘ve ever met. The historic lodge is very peaceful and charming with beautiful interior and a scenic view over Matauwhi Bay. Our hosts spoiled us with an extraordinary and delicious 3 course breakfast. We fell in love with this beautiful and unique place and would definitely come back.

Old world charm and hospitalitynWe were greeted by Peter at the door and instantly made to feel welcome. He showed us around this glorious property before showing us to our room. We stayed in the Ranginui Room which has the most beautiful view over the bay. Our bathroom was across the hall but private to us. The room and the bathroom were spacious and impeccably clean. Our hosts Peter and Greg had thought of everything.nWe meet Greg the co host the next morning at breakfast, and he is just as personable as Peter. Here we were treated to a delicious breakfast with plenty of variety. They cater for all types of dietary requirements.nThe property is an easy stroll into the Russell township.nWe stayed three nights and loved it. Would I stay again?
