Arcadia Lodge

We had the loveliest stay at Arcadia Lodge. Peter and Greg were thoughtful, charming and accommodating hosts. The lodge is well positioned and comfortable with beautiful views over one of the bays and an easy walk to the village. The three course breakfast was fresh and delicious including many home cooked dishes.nCould we give 6 stars, we would.nD & P

Four of us had a wonderful stay for two nights. The historic building was beautiful, including the furnishings, balcony for breakfast, kauri flooring and lovely garden. Greg was a wonderful host, explaining all that the town had to offer, including dining options and scenic walks. Peter’s breakfasts were a delight to behold and even better to savour. Both guys made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were well appointed and spotless. Couldn’t ask for a better. Loved it!

A really special place to stay in an amazing location. We spent a few days at the lodge in mid-October and had a wonderful time. The lodge has amazing character and history with lovely rooms and plenty of space to relax. Located in a lovely part of Russell the lodge has fantastic views and is an easy short work to the centre of town.nPeter and Greg are awesome hosts, friendly and really want you to have the best time in Russell and the bay of islands.nMy personal highlight was the breakfast service. Well worth a stay alone.

This charming historic home is tastefully appointed, blending character with modern comfort.nOur suites were very comfortable, featuring king-size beds and thoughtful touches throughout.nWhat truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding hospitality offered by our hosts, Greg and Peter. Greg shared fascinating insights into the history of the home and provided us with detailed information about Russell and the Bay of Islands region. He also went above and beyond by making restaurant and tour bookings on our behalf.nIn addition to their warm hospitality, the ultimate highlight was the beautifully presented three-course breakfast created each morning by Peter, featuring fresh and preserved ingredients from their garden.nIf you're planning a trip to the Bay of Islands, a stay at Arcadia Lodge is an absolute must.nThank you, Greg and Peter, for your warm hospitality, sharing your beautiful home, and for offering such wonderful insight into your amazing backyard.

I had an absolutely wonderful time staying at the Arcadia Lodge with my family! The location is stunning with a view of the harbour. We stayed in the cottage and it was amazing. Perfect for a family or small group; it was spacious for all of us to spread out but had cozy hangout spaces including a loft space and front room overlooking the water, and was very clean. Greg and Peter were fabulous hosts and were able to answer all of our questions. Peter's breakfasts were out of this world delicious and something I think about often. I would recommend this to anyone staying in Russell, and I cannot wait to go back to Russell just to visit the Arcadia Lodge.
