We are all passionate about Antarctica (and penguins!)
The Antarctic Center Education Programme provides a fun and informative way to learn about Antarctica!
We provide specialized Antarctic Education Programmes that can cater for any group, ages 1-100. Visits can be tailored to suit any kind of group from pre school, primary school or sports groups, to retirees. Anyone who is keen to learn more about the wonders of Antarctica.
The visit will begin with an educational talk, using a power point style presentation. as a general introduction to the wonders of the Antarctic.
Following the talk we will guide the students to experience the chill of an Antarctic Storm in our snow and ice room, visit the little blue penguins and find out about their journey to the Antarctic centre and you will also have some free time to explore the exhibits in our gallery.
Optional extra activities include the Hagglund rid, which lets people experience and learn about the vehicles used in Antarctica.
We also have a 4D show which is about a cruise ship voyage down to Antarctica and is 3D with a few extra surprises. This has been a real hit with many of our visitors.
We usually suggest that you allow at least two hours for your education visit. To make a booking contact [email protected] or visit our website, iceberg.co.nz
