Story

Kidsfirst kindergartens offers quality West Coast, Canterbury and Christchurch preschool education to about 3,500 children through its network of 62 kindergartens.

Formerly known as the Canterbury Westland Kindergarten Association, we are one of New Zealand's largest and longest serving early childhood education providers.
Our staff of more than 300 includes a 100% qualified and registered early childhood teacher workforce.

Kidsfirst is where local kids come to discover a joy of learning and get a great start for the rest of their education, and their lives. We look at those young faces, so filled with potential and ask ourselves - "What will they do tomorrow?

Kindergarten is all about participation. It’s the way it’s been for more than a hundred years. And it’s a big part of what makes it such a special place.
So we’re thrilled to see you here and part of our virtual community.

Like all communities, sometimes we have to put a bit of work into keeping things on track, on topic, and focused.
