I go here a lot, I play Ice Hockey, Watch Ice Hockey & Do Public Skating Sessions, my family have known Alpine Ice for a few years back when it was called the big apple.nnPublic session is pretty nice I recommend it a lot, Definitely bring your friends/family. skate around freely under colourful lights in the dark, skate helpers are available as-well, music you can choose songs that play over the speakers at the tablet panel near the entrancennSkates have a range of types/sizes, they are well sharpened, Helmets aren’t too bad, Wide range of food options Hot Chips, Cookies, Soda, Water, Hot Chocolate, Candy Floss, Lollies/Chocolate Bars etc.nnI love this place so much, it’s smaller than the other ice rinks across New Zealand but it’s still enough for me. I love the people here, staff, coaches, teams, referees, good job guys keep it up
We had a birthday booking for a small pack of 8 and 9 year olds, and I was very impressed with the staff -- everyone was very helpful and really good with the kids on the ice. I didn't really realise how smoothly everything went until I got home after the party, which I think is a great testament to how well organised and competent the staff were. Despite how busy it was, nobody seemed stressed out or too busy to help, and it really made the experience very positive.nnThe kids had an absolute blast and are all keen to go back again. Thanks for facilitating such a great birthday!
I had a really disappointing experience at Alpine Ice. The visit itself wasn’t great, but what made it worse was the lack of customer service afterward.nAfter the incident, I took the time to send them an email explaining what happened and hoping they would at least acknowledge it or try to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, I never received any response at all. Being completely ignored after raising a concern is frustrating and shows a lack of respect for customers.nMistakes or bad experiences can happen anywhere, but how a business responds afterward is what really matters. In this case, there was no response, no follow-up, and no attempt to address the situation.nBecause of that, I can’t say I’d recommend Alpine Ice, and I hope they start taking customer feedback more seriously in the future.
Our kids first time coming here and they had a ball! So did we! The ice-skates do leave some wicked blisters though so recommend using some very thick socks
Had my son's birthday party here. Fabulous staff who were organized. Stress free and everyone had a great time!
