Nice and helpful managers. Comfortable room and bed. Good heating. Great view from the front door of the room. Close walking distance to shops and tour centres. Normal rates. Do give this place a go when staying at Franz Josef.Rooms: 4/5
Clean, spacious room, kid-friendly environment. Super value for the price. I'm very pleased with my stay that I wished I could stay couple more nights. Walking distance to nice forest walk, restaurants, cafe, supermarket, kid's playground. Very convenient. Thank you team!
I had a one night stay, the room is pleasant, spacious and clean. The wifi speeds are slow and struggle to stream things or load most web pages smoothly. I was disappointed to see they will charge an extra free if you don’t completely clean the kitchen yourself which is a bit unexpected given the price you’re paying for the room already - cleaning dishes is usually a standard motel/hotel service. The location is great you’re right in town, and the rooms on the upper floor have lovely views and big windows.
Great customer service even before we had arrived. In the days preceding our visit the roads in and out of Franz Josef had been closed due to the weather forecast. When I emailed the hotel to enquire about us being able to get there, they responded really quickly giving me an update on the situation, which was that the roads had been reopened. They were also very helpful when we arrived, explaining the walking route to see the Franz Josef Glacier. Rooms are clean, spacious with a decent sized kitchenette and a small dining table and chairs. Your car can be parked directly outside the room so easily accessible with your luggage. There are also some coin operated laundry facilities, however, they had provided free washing powder for us to use.
We had a brilliant stay here. Room was enormous, clean and kitchen had everything we needed. So close to the town centre. Great view out of 1 window of a snow capped mountain. Totally recommend staying here.Rooms: 5/5
A good location in the centre of town. Rooms are basic but very clean. The biggest problem we had was the walls are paper thin and the TV from the nextdoor room is the other side of the wall where your head is in bed, so when people watch TV into the early hours of the morning you can hear everything!Rooms: 3/5
Very happy with accommodation. Host was very welcoming when we arrived and had also upgraded our room from a queen to a king. Room had everything we needed plus more for just a stop over location. Nice and close to the main strip for dinner. Room and bathroom was very clean. Ample parking onsite. Only grumble was that the guests below us kept smoking and would rise above and through our open window. Otherwise I highly recommend
I had booked here for a few nights and was lucky enough to get a bigger room with a kitchenette. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the room was refreshed to a high standard each day. Great location 2 minute walk to the shops. Thank you!Rooms: 5/5
We didn't book in advance and they had 2 spare room in different price ranges. Lovely staff, comfortable beds, everything super clean, rooms with fridge, sink, some even with kitchen stoves, and super location. Would stay again without hesitationRooms: 5/5
