Food standard has declined so much over time. The sharing platter is disappointing and thus overpriced now. Have never tasted such lousy Sangaria ever! Do not recommend.Food: 2/5
Unfortunately they were run out of Churro on that night. Otherwise, I will give them 5 stars. Nice place for hangout with friends.Food: 4/5
The food is very tasty and generous sizes. I LOVE THE CHURROS! They're nice and soft crust just like a doughnut, the way I like em. The place has Really cool decor. And yes I will be back for more CHURROS
Went here for a friends birthday over the weekend and quite literally the worst hospitality experience I've ever had We came in and were told the tables at the back of the restaurant were allocated to our booking. An hour later as the waiter was taking food orders yes, it took an hour for this, we were told where we were sitting wasn't our allocated seating and we had to move. Tried to order a whisky sour and was told they couldn't make them as they don't have the ingredients. A bar that can't make a whisky sour?? The bartender seemed to have no clue what she was doing. Put drinks on the bench and I asked if they were our ones, reply was "I don't know, I just make the drinks". $29 margarita jugs didn't taste alcoholic, just tasted like lemon/lime cordial. Meals were cold, there were many complaints. Waiter rolled his eyes to multiple people at various times through the night and we heard him speaking under his breath rudely after bring out plates of food. He wasn't quiet enough that we didn't hear what was said Some food orders were cancelled after waiting over another hour. Friend even went up to help the waiter to direct meals in the right place because they had no clue I've been here before and it was bad, thought maybe they've improved but it got worse!! The only positive was the lady I ordered the drinks through was very polite. Maybe she's the glue holding the place together
First, my rating would be 3.5 but I can't do that. I really liked the ambient, decoration and feel of the place. Having an early dinner there was no crowd but I imagine it may be popular place. The foood was ok and that is my biggest disappointment. Salad was overdressed and not spicy or hot and that's what I was expecting. Staff was friendly and served me promptly.
One of the best food and place we visited in Dunedin. Great selection of food, ambience. Must visit for truly authentic Mexican food and drinks. Good for group function and parties too. Try platter.
Excellent service. Staff were great, food was delicious. Highly recommend. Had a very authentic Mexican atmosphere too.
The service was really great and our meals came out so quickly. The cheesy jalapeño bites are so good and the chimichangas are huge! Also definitely recommend the melon margarita and of course, churros!
Food was delicious, highly recommend the sharing platter. Great array of options and flavours. Staff weren't as attentive as I would expect from a restaurant that had a handful of tables full.
1 star, pretty sad right? Let me explain: As every other restaurant they started at 5 when I entered but immediately lost 1 when they put us on plastic tables with a plastic table cloth and wobbly plastic chairs. Sitting needs to be comfortable, especially when the wait between sitting down, placing an order and the arrival of the last plate takes about 80 minutes. Lost the next star there. Staff seemed also a bit lost, may be inexperienced, but it's tough to get staff currently so - 1/2 a star. Now, food on the table. No matter what you ordered, you got the same ingredients!! Everybody had the same beans in the same sauce, the same Salat, the same rice, even the beef in the chimichangas was the same as on the alley platter. I thought they would use mince in the chimichangas with a different seasoning maybe. Anyway, seasoning, no matter what I tried all tasted the same. They give you some sauces, no clue why as they also don't alter the taste in any way. A friend of ours wanted aioli, charged her 2$ for a few ml of dour cream, turns out they don't have aioli. To top it of, everything was cold. Like cold! How can it be that a deep fried dish is cold on the inside??? Let's not talk about the Sangria. I think that's another 2 stars deduction there. Alright ready to go. Getting hit by a bill that feels like they charge approx 5$ too much per dish in regards to quality and portion size. Again times are tough, I acknowledge that - 1/2 star. Thank you. Once and never again.
