Here's a small and beautiful park in the city. It's pretty busy as it is located next to the University. I like to come here the most in June, when the rows of Gingko trees change their winter leaves to a bright yellow on a street corner.
This is a beautiful park in the city. Great location to relax and spend some quality me-time. Very well maintained. Love the fountain with the Sky Tower as the backdrop
Was staying in downtown Auckland and walked around the city. Came across Albert Park and what a nice city park. Large, majestic trees everywhere, walking paths with a little elevation involved in parts of the park, flower gardens, statues, and more. A great way to spend an hour just walking around or find a bench to sit for a bit. There are iconic views of the Sky Tower and the rest of the Auckland Skyline!
Have been passing through Albert Park for countless times. This is the first time I take pictures trying to give it a review. It's right in the centre of the city, a piece of chilling land for everyone. Not knowing it's history is fine but you do need to learn how you can take the advantage to make the best use of it to enjoy.
I was in search of somewhere quiet to escape the noise of the city and drink my coffee. This park fit the bill perfectly. Plenty of bench seats. No loud children’s playground. Serenity.
Sights @ Albert Park. . The design of this public park in the city was the outcome of a competition. From the entrance, steep footpaths climb pass native trees to the large and level summit, where a network of paths and flower gardens encircle a cast iron fountain, wrought with cherubs and dolphins. . At one end of the park, marble edifices surround a picturesque band rotunda, its composition appearing in postcards of the locale since the early 20th century. . At the other end, a Boer war memorial stands, guarded by 2 large field guns, remnants from a time of tension. . Another attraction here is a large floral clock that was constructed in 1953. An a hidden easter egg - an actual operating gas lamp from the Victorian era, the sole remnant of its kind, on the stairs leading from Kitchener Street.
Amazingly beautiful park in the heart of the city to take a walk or simply unwind in a small piece of nature. Whoever is in charge of taking care of it, is doing an outstanding job
Awesome park, it’s super funny to see a cone on the statue. I always wonder who did this. Lots of flowers blossom at this stage so it’s worth paying a visit here. Not enough parking spaces around though.
Pretty little park, well located in the centre of town. Well looked after and maintained. Few seats around to sit and even admire the view. Few things to look at too. Definately well worth a look/visit.
Lovely park in the heart of the city. Not very large. We were there in Sept and there were a number of flowers. Well kept
