Excellent service! Easy to use website and book online. They were quite prompt, and the driver seemed to truly love his job, telling us stories and carving big turns as we came into Anchorage Bay. Using their service allowed us to do a day hike in this park when I thought we wouldn't be able to. Kudos to all!
Just Fantastic! The boat captain was funny, and informative, we stopped at the Split Apple Rock, Adele Island to see the seals , etc. I did the beaches & bay package, going from Mārahau to Bark Bay 1hr, walking to Anchorage, then back from Anchorage go Mārahau 30mins highly recommend! And visit Cleopatra's Pools on the way! The journey from the Aqua Taxi centre via tractor-towed boat is fun by itself
We walked the Abel Tasman coast track and boated out from Tōtaranui with Abel Tasman Aqua Taxi. The boat ride back along the coast was enjoyable and our captain stopped and showed us a number of beautiful spots on the way! We had our vehicle parked in their car park back in Mārahau too, so it was super handy to be dropped back off there. Highly recommend this company :
We booked a tour where we stayed on the boat for the whole ride. The guide was very friendly and gave information at every stop. Our highlight was seeing the NZ fur seals chilling on the rocks and playing in the water. Follow our travels on instagram @dutchgirlstravel
This is a very efficient service. You are loaded onto boats at their main office and tractors pull the boats to the sea edge. The arrival time at your drop off point factors in the loading and towing time. The captain gave clear instructions about times and pick up points. This isn't a cheap service but, for us, it was worth it to get into the park and do a different section of the coastal track.
Great experience. Took water taxi from Marahau to Anchorage Bay and hiked back on Abel Tasman track. Took us to see Split Apple Rock, seals on Adele Island and Dolphins as we came into Anchorage Bay. Great experience.
We just booked on the morning, wanted to ask advice on where to go /options in person. It’s busy though if you do that when we did in Jan. So if you know where you want to go then book online. Many options to go to different parts of the 5 day track. We had a taxi take us back from anchorage and they drive the boat up into a trailer with wheels and literally drive you back on a road in the boat to their carpark. Incredible
Absolutely professional service, so personal and such a lot of fun. The side trips to see hidden bays were magical. Great to have commentary and questions answered, and to be able to come off the hike a little early. Cannot rate highly enough.
Great experience getting out on the water, our taxi stopped at Split Apple Rock to take some photos before heading on to our destination. Slightly expensive but imo definitely worth the price! Be aware that you may get wet feet getting out at your destination depending on the tide!
Great way to enter the Abel Tasman with out of town friends. A quick ride up the park from Marahau to Anchorage via Split Apple rock. Skipper entertaining. Comfortable seats & PFDs supplied for all ages.
