18th Avenue Thermal Motel

Updated rooms, bed was comfortable, kitchen was workable, new carpet, no aircon but a heater was supplied, our biggest complaint was the shower water pressure was very bad especially when you wash your hair.

Very nice upgraded room. Room was very clean and customer service was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Had a comfortable stay here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy. Well equipped kitchenette. Good wifi speed. Parking space in front of your unit and outdoor garden area. Bathroom could be cleaned better.

Not too bad. The room was of a reasonable size and the kitchen has an oven and a microwave and the usual cleaning utensils.nnThe main bed was a king size and the pillows were nice, but it was a very firm mattress. The TV was small, but the Sky TV was good and perfect picture.nnNo heatpump in the rooms and poor sound Insulation too. We could hear the people in the room next to us talking and when they flushed the toilet or the cylinder refilled. Could also hear carts being rolled around outside and the ground keeper blasting Regae music as he was mowing the lawns.nnThey only service the rooms at one time a day and if you were there, they didn't come back. We were there for almost 3 days and our room was never cleaned.nnThe trampoline and the mini playground was decent and the palm trees were a nice touch.nnIn the bathroom, there were numerous dead sandflys over the walls and dust along the side of the toilet and shower. There were heaps of towels and hand soap and a hair dryer too, along with power points for shavers.nnThe mineral pool was a good temperature and a decent size, but we got dripped on as there was nothing to remove the damp air out of the room where the pool was and the water was collecting on the ceiling.nnFor the price and the location and what you get, it isn't a bad deal. Nothing flash though. The shops were just a short walk around the corner, so that was good too.

Good old fashioned accommodation, the bathrooms definitely do with an upgrade to more modern facilities but it was very clean and the beds were comfortable which was was important to us. Poor heating. We arrived late in the evening on a cold winter night and the flat was not pre-heated. With the small electric heater provided, it took all night to warm up the flat. Convenient distance to Grace Hospital.
