I'm not a cafe frequenter, so I do have high expectations for the odd cafe visit: I love atmosphere and the experience. The staff were polite and greeted me while I waited at the counter, but the cafe has no real personal touch - no table service, no name taken for matching to an order, takeaway cups were used for dining in. Also, a small internal sitting area and air con wasn't very strong. Otherwise, my soy latte was fine, short wait time, and I did have a pleasant quiet hour working in the corner escaping the humidity.
You know when you go to a place and it’s bad, then you pass by at a later date and think “maybe I’ll give it a second thought” only to regret it immediately?! Yeah that’s this place! Don’t make the same mistake as I did… really poor service!nn-first experience: no one at the counter at first, once I was served, I was rushed through my order with an attitude only to be treated with that gross burnt taste coffee has when it’s been make poorly.nn-second experience: Again, no-one at the counter to be served by they have a bell on the counter which I don’t like to use, purely because I feel rude doing this… they were all out the back laughing good on them for having a good time at work, I’m all for that! but when I said “hellloooo” in that high pitched voice you do when you’re trying to be polite, they stopped laughing went quiet and then continued to laugh and go about their day. Had they thought someone was in the shop maybe check?! A lady walked in after me and she said “do they know that we’re here?!” I replied “I just yelled out but who knows…” she rang the bell and eventually someone came to see us. Again, I was greeted with piss poor service and then was handed a burnt roll, I was given attitude because I asked for another.nnKeep driving the extra mile and spend your money at the next one I say.nnNot one to leave a bad review but at quick glance it seems I’m not the only one leaving this kind on feedback.nnHope this helps.
Have visited this branch of Zarraffas a few times. There's a drive through option if needed, but we always sit in the cafe area either outside under cover or in the air-conditioned area depending on the weather. Coffee is best ordered with a double shot in the short size for good strength otherwise is very weak. Service is usually pretty quick.
I seldom write a review but when I do, it’s with very good cause. Today we called in to order two coffees and a strawberry crème fusion. The lady that served us was wearing a headset for the drive through, asked my husband what he wanted, in an abrupt tone and as he attempted to speak, he was interrupted by her yelling into the headset on three occasions. So my husband paused and said “I’ll just wait till you are finished”! Nevertheless, after the three counts of yelling, the woman took our order. We waited as three other orders that came in after us got their coffees and food and when I preceded to question why and where was our order, as we had ordered prior to all these people, the same woman that served us was rude yet again and couldn’t find the order, once she did, we were running very late after waiting over 20 minutes and left with just the strawberry fusion which was left standing on the bench for 5 minutes or so and as we left she tells out, “I can give you a refund!” At this point, we just had to leave to get to an event . I would never recommend the Logandale Zaraffas. This is the worst service I have encountered in a very long time. Just don’t bother. This place has a lack of care and tack and is the most unorganised chaos I have seen in a long time. If I could give a 0 star rating I would. Never will I step back into that store. And to the lady with the red died hair on the headset on the morning of the 23rd of March, you should consider getting some training on customer service!
Would like to comment on the Coffee when I called in. But couldn't get anyone to serve me. One girl was out the front and didnt even bother to look or come and serve me, even when I said hello can i please make an order, she just stood their wiping the oven. After waiting for 10 minutes to be served and dinging the bell 3 times and saying excuse me hello again, I walked out.
