The food was good and affordable. It was ready very quickly, despite being a busy time on a Sunday morning. The coffee tasted nice and was not too hot. The butterscotch sauce and bananas with the pancakes were tasty, but the pancakes were so thick and dense that it was way too much for one person to eat!
First time visit to Degani Hyperdome. Food was good although we are not huge fans of sourdough bread because it’s too firm and harder to eat/swallow compared to Turkish bread. Service has a lot of room for improvement and a paper cup instead of a glass or cup was a bit rude. Acceptable for children, however we were 4 middle aged adults. Coffee beans was also average. Wouldn’t rush back.
Degani is my go to cafe at the Logan Hyperdome. Consistently good coffee, friendly service and yummy food. Today was no exception! Super quick service, even though it was busy, with efficient staff and a bright, airy ambience. Today I had the Bacon Eggs Benedict and my usual cappuccino, and it was good. My only mild complaint is the eggs were a bit overdone for me, however that is just my preference and others would like it as they were. Overall Degani’s is a very good suburban cafe with an appetising menu in a popular shopping centre. Recommended.
I order with a lady wearing a mask only mention as it may of added to the situation. Went up to order brunch, decided on the butterscotch pancakes. As I order she asked "Are you okay with both cream and ice cream?" I asked again as it was hard to hear with the mask. Same response, "Are you okay with both cream and ice cream?" I said yes. I will add, I did not ask for cream, I assumed wrong in her asking as was cream or ice cream okay. My issue was with the misleading way I was asked. I did not want the cream nor did I eat it. Then I see a $1 surcharge for cream with the meal. The meal came with ice cream on the menu but the way she put it, didn't articulate it was an extra, usually they say "would you like added cream?" This to me felt like she was trying to mislead me and over charge. I will not be back nor would I recommend. The time between drinks and other meals at the table was long, as well as they cleaned by wiping all the crumbs onto the floor and not even getting the whole table between customers. Reply: I am aware the cream was not apart of the meal. I didn't want it. The way it was spoken to me was more are you okay with either not did you want cream as an extra? . My issue is with the misleading way I was spoken too. I understand additions cost extra.
Use to come here pretty often but as of the last two times pretty disappointing. The male serving today.... you might need a thing called numbers on the table so that you know where to go, the system seems to be confusing for everyone including customers. When making an eggs Benny bacon you need to cook bacon on both sides and make sure its flat on the grill because only half a piece of bacon on one side is cooked. What saved the eggs Benny was the toast and thats from a bakery. Now I would bring this up with the waiter but he seems to have no clue what he's doing. Coffee was good. Just disappointed that the food has gone down hill and for the price your paying it needs to be better
Had big breakfast for lunch. The meal was good but just a bit too salty.
When the bottle orange juice was the best of my breakfast is when you know that there were a problem. Oily eggs and flavourless.
We had breakfast with Cappuccino Update the review because we were disappointed Great atmosphere... cappuccino is average. Nice relaxing venue to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the shopping centre. The staff are friendly and the food is nicely presented. The decor is modern, industrial but warm, neat, clean and pleasant.
Food great, Coffee Excellent, noise not great. When the sound system bass combines with the noisy blender, it creates a mind distorting reverberation implosion of some sort. The lack of sound absorbing materials in decor means that the experience becomes a cacophony of the sounds of every guest, staff member and food preparation. This was on a weekend morning and the place was packed, so clearly they have great food. Quick and easy with great food and coffee, but accoustics need improvement.
I normally have a great experience at Degani so was very disappointed when I could bearly eat my lunch. The avocado was rock hard, poached eggs overdone and coffee was like foamed milk with no espresso. I got take away so didn't have time to return but willing to remove this review if a replacement meal or refund is offered as I'd hate to stop returning to this restaurant but unfortunately on this occasion was let down by service and food
