I was super excited to attend this place as I had read reviews that there were tons of vegan options - a luxury we don't have in Blacktown. When we got there, there was only one ? vegan option for breakfast which was really disappointing. I wonder if there has been a change of menu/ownership resulting in fewer vegan options? The reviews I had read said there were vegan carrot cakes etc and none of that was available at the time. The food that I did end up ordering was the corn tortilla which was pretty bland. Hope more vegan items are added to the menu soon :
I come here semi-regularly to get takeaway lunch. The food is good but the kitchen often forget items. Once they forgot to put a poached egg in with the poke nutrition bowl, which was a let down. Today, they didn’t give me the sauce into lunch breaks aren’t long enough for me to go back. The bowl was so dry, I finished lunch disappointed. I got the chicken karaage bowl, as I have previously enjoyed it. They change the type of chicken, and although it was tasty, it wasn’t juicy and was dry.. made worse by the lack of sauce
Healthy and tasty options. Sat at the bar due to limited seating right by the door, but kept feeling abrupt coldness everytime someone opened the door. Moved upstairs when a table freed up, but the temperature was so much hotter compared to downstairs. Seat legs were obviously uneven for my wife's chair. Other than that the food is good!
Went for breakfast on a Monday. Enjoyed the roast vege salad very much. The coffee was also very nice. Ordered through QR code, and it was very quick to come to us. Presentation was also very nice. I'd recommend
Really yum food. AND it was so pretty too. The only two things I didn't like was that upstairs in the back they had racks of roasted pumpkin and bread left to cool I assume unsupurvised and hanging out next to people eating which I thought was strange. And there were a few tables that were left with previous customers dirty plates and cups. A waitress walked upstairs to deliever food, saw the mess and left it there. After 15 minutss other customers arrived and had to remove the plates themselves. I get that restaurants can get busy just in the current pandemic climate that seemed very yucky.
First and last experience at this cafe as quality of food poor surprising given the mostly positive reviews. Poke bowl - Brisket was riddled in un-rendered fat, chewy and minimum in quantity which is fine as it was mostly inedible what was provided anyway. Salad was drowning in dressing. Cabbage parts had mould. Pouched egg super runny egg white had raw parts and was cold perhaps they were meant to finish off the cooking process upon serving but forgot?Needless to say will not be back here again.
This cute cafe always seemed packed on weekends, we finally got to try it recently. It’s a chic cafe with indoor & outdoor tables. The menu offers pretty standard brunch numbers, but with a dash of healthy & quite extensive range of healthy bowls, catering to gluten free, dairy free, vegan, vegetarian, even keto diets. I think the ‘foodstore’ concept materialises in the form of take home loaves & healthy homemade snacks. I like my Chorizo Chilli & Garlic Scrambled Eggs, not only because they make scrambled eggs swirly & runny they way i like it, the portion’s also just good enough for me.
The coffee is very average not what it used to be and the prices are absolutely insane... 2 slices of toast and a two coffees $20.23. Asked thats a bit steep he said oh it’s public holiday surcharge of 15%. I get it that’s ok to charge the 15% but even then you are looking at over $17 for two coffees and two slices of toast. When it’s a public holiday naturally the business will attract a lot more customers. I have never seen this place as busy as today. Which mean they would be turning over way more than the 15%. Regardless the pricing is insane... also my recommendation is take peoples names when they order the girl keeps on yelling out coffees orders for customers to collect... that’s is very annoying for people who are sitting down wanting to enjoy a nice quiet breakfast... I did suggest that to the staff. We ordered the toast that was a major challenge Brie the kitchen staff. He managed to get it wrong 4 times. I don’t think I will be going back there... Good luck.
