Yoga Tree is an Elsternwick institution - fantastically run with warm, friendly and knowledgeable teachers. One of the few places with 90 min classes, so they don’t feel rushed. A great place to practice.
Yoga Tree is amazing! The teachers are super qualified, kind and always willing to help. Here you can find different yoga classes and you will definitely leave with renewed energy.

My one and only yoga studio! I’ve been coming here for years and I enjoy my Vinyasa flow classes every time, feel completely rejuvenated after my yoga. All teachers are great with their own style of practice, keeps it interesting, spacious but cosy warm room and very friendly atmosphere! Love that classes are 90 mins long, allows enough time for both Yan and yin components. Totally recommend this place!
Friendly welcoming atmosphere. Thoughtful sequencing, room for individuals to take rest or expand. Good balance between advice and support for care, and freedom to explore. I’ve only done the one class Vinyasa but I really enjoyed it. If I do a strong Vinyasa I dont want to be constantly coddled, and I wasn’t here. I’d go back for sure. And I’m a yoga teacher, so that means I’m probably more aware of the minutia than most.
Yoga tree has a great selection of yoga classes . I did the 6.30am Friday Bikram Focus class . Milli was the instructor. Milli is a friendly, experienced instructor with a lot of knowledge I love how she’s always checking if we need adjustments . I highly recommend the Yoga Tree. I also took the Saturday Bikram class and Sunday Bikram Focus class this week . Out instructor was Ritu. Ritu is the owner of Yoga tree . She is so warm and friendly and always has a smile on her face. She would have to be one of my favorite instructors. I love how she Guides you through each posture with so much detail and even explains what each postures health benefits are. Ritu’s positive energy , happy personality and professionalism makes for a great class. If you haven’t been to Yoga Tree yet it’s definitely worth the visit. I also tried the vinyasa flow. The instructor was Hamford. He is friendly and welcoming. He was great at explaining the postures . And helping you make the correct adjustments. I really have been enjoying all my classes at yoga tree.
I have been doing Bikram Yoga for a while and has found that practicing in a room with far-infrared heat as is used at Yogatree in Elsternwick is much more detoxifying for the body than in a room with dry heat, which used to make me feel exhausted. The far-infrared heat works inside the body cells to detoxify and that is quite easily felt, it works from the inside out, dry heat works from the inside in, completely different experience. Days after a class at Yogatree, I can fell my body detoxifying itself, my nose start running and my eyes watering. So would highly recommend anyone to try this alternative. Great studio, great atmosphere!

I have been going to Yoga Tree for over 15 years, and it's become such a vital and enriching part of my life. There's a lot of variety in the teaching styles but the teachers are all amazing and each brings fresh insights. The space is simple and lovely and there is a strong, committed community of incredible yogis - practising with them teaches me as much as the teachers do. It's a very down-to-earth place, friendly and welcoming. No ego-fests or fashion parades. A place you'll return to with love.
