This gym is the most welcoming, professional and friendly gym in Perth. I was new to training and Nicolle Harwood-Nash introduced me to fitness in the most outstanding way possible. My aim was to get fit for a trip I was taking, however I discovered that exercise is actually enjoyable. The facilities are first class, other members are very welcoming and all staff are outstanding. Apart from its' convenience and quality equipment the setting is second to none - looking out over Langley Park which we have used for occasional sessions. All of this for the price you'd pay for any other gym - it's great!
Definitely a gym to check out!! I joined this gym at the end of 2013 and couldn't imagine my life without it!! Nicolle has been my PT since then and has helped me lose 10kg and kept it off!! The staff and members are absolutely lovely and everyone is really friendly : The gym is always kept in a clean and tidy condition : I highly recommend this gym to everyone!! You'll feel very welcome and the staff are always happy to help you achieve your goals! :
The gym itself has a great layout, plenty of cardio machines, good free weights area with a good range of plates/dumbbells weights for all levels of training. But the staff and trainers make this place AMAZING! They are always willing to lend a hand, offer a spot or help with technique, exercises, machines etc. They help provide an awesome atmosphere which keeps me coming back. I have used other gyms before and never lasted longer than 3 months, I train at YMCA most weekdays and have done for almost 2 years now.
Vic Ave Fitness is such a great place to exercise and workout. The location is perfect for before or after work training sessions and with an unbeatable view of Langley Park and the Swan River. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a great gym located in the city, then I'd highly recommend Vic Ave Fitness Centre.
I like the location of this gym and the amenities within. Love the view and the fact that you can gaze out to Langley park and the river while smashing through some cardio. Fully set up weight, strength training and cardio area with awesome rest rooms and showers. Very nice change from the usual under-ground gyms you tend to find in the cbd. Very friendly and helpful staff too!
Nice little gym in the CBD with all the essentials. Clientele is mainly inner city workers squeezing in some cardio so it is pleasantly devoid of juiced-up d-bags preppin for Stezza. All the staff are cool and always friendly to me. The Manager, Nicole, is lovely so please ignore “Missy Jones” petulant rant below. FYI “Missy” there two other 24/7 gyms within 2sq/km of YMCA so if travelling that extra distance to train is a massive inconvenience as you claim then perhaps you are too lazy for a gym membership anyway.
The way I was treated by the manager/owner and only personal trainer at Victoria Av Fitness was disrespectful and very inappropriate. I joined the Gym looking for Personal Training as I need guidance in my rehabilitation process from an injury, I liked the location and decided to join, they offered a personal trainer first session free of charge as part of the join fees, I accommodated and agreed to meet a suitable time for the personal trainer which usually is the other way around, I had to wait for two weeks for the first appointment. While waiting for this appointment, I was happy and enjoy going to the gym for two weeks, the view is nice, was doing a few exercise routine that my physio suggested and waited for the guidance of a personal trainer, the day I joined, noticed that one machine wasn't working, that day I was told it's been broken a few days ago and will be fixed soon, during one time I was at the gym, a member mentioned that, that machine is been broken for months now, so I was a bit concerned but was waiting to have a chat with the manager/personal trainer/owner about it and I was pretty sure the personal trainer would give me another way to exercise while waiting for that machine to be fix, they advertiser Foxtel connectivity but there are only a few channels and not working in all the cardio equipment so was another disappointing fact but go alone with it. I reschedule work and personal commitments not easy been a professional and single mother to assist to the first personal training session as I really need it, the day of the appointment, on my way to the gym, while walking I checked my personal email and found my appointment was cancelled two hours before by email, I was already around the corner of the place of the appointment as during work I normally don't check my personal email so I expressed my disappointed and reply to the email, my words weren't disrespectful or rude, I was disappointed, yes and upset about a few things already, at the next minute the manager/owner/personal trainer reply in a very inappropriate and unprofessional way which shocks me coming from the owner/manager, however, I tried to understand she may be was under a lot of stress and having personal problems, the next day very polite I sent an apology which I didn't have to but I wasn't interested in any conflicts or arguments at all and requested my cancellation of my membership, as for much I tried to be understanding of the stress she may had, I wasn't uncomfortable and was inappropriate the way that she was spoken to me on the email and been the manager and owner I was in shock , I deserved respect as a customer and again without been rude or used inappropriate language on my email, she sent another email very confronting response. I felt this is what is call bullying as this person is the only staff/ manager/owner feels that has the right to treat people any way she may feel and is wrong, she didn't know me, never cross a word on the phone with me but yet sent me emails very irrespectful, as a customer paying for a service to a business, It's expect don't bring personal issues by anyone, I was expressing my disappointed about a service with respect and my rights. I always choose a small business as in most of the cases the service is more personalise and is better but in this case I was wrong.
Definitely on of the best gyms in perth, with excellent trainers who can help you achieve any sort of fitness goal, also a friendly atmosphere and clean facilities, placed in one of the finest spots of perth cbd with a great view of river once your are training . If you are looking for a perfect gym,Victoria Avenue fitness centre is absolutely where you can achieve your fitness goals.
